The current state of the TOKEN asset
« on: December 08, 2014, 02:45:04 pm »

Dear James,

I've bought TOKEN a while ago and it seems that I've missed the announcement on BTT, Sept 28th, about the conversion of this asset into SuperNET.

Redeem TOKEN for SuperNET
If you have TOKEN on NXT AE, send it to: NXT-7Y5B-J8LQ-SL5P-3ULFL (alias: RedeemTOKEN)
It will be converted to SuperNET and sent back to your account within 24 hours. It is done via a manual process run by valarmg
source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346

The question is now, what should I do with this asset? The last transaction on the abovementioned account is a message from someone who is asking where his/her SuperNET assets are apparently after they are sent for conversion. I wouldn't want to just send my TOKEN there now, would I?

Has TOKEN lost its value and become a vapor-asset and should I just accept that my NXT is lost with this asset?
Or is there any other way for me, and other TOKEN asset hodlers for that matter, to somehow have TOKENs converted into SuperNET (or even better UNITY) and regain its value?

Thanks in advance.

Shin

just send TOKEN to that address: NXT-7Y5B-J8LQ-SL5P-3ULFL
as long as it is the real TOKEN, you will get back SuperNET asset (it is the same as UNITY)

Just curious, does a 'redeem' make use of the SuperNET 'Share Swap' function, or am I totally wrong? :)

The other way around!
The redeem code became the Share Swap function!

That's what I meant to say  ;D
But I thought maybe it would be a continuous automated process (may be impossible?) where all 'original assets' that (ever) get sent to the 'redeem account' receive the 'replacement asset' automatically. Apparently it's a manual script that executes once every time it's run? I should RTFM :)

It could be automated, especially if I made an API wrapper for its functions. Maybe I will add it to me todo list :)
