What is the name of your company? What is your license? How do you comply with AML and KYC?

You must surely be joking, what do you mean by company names, licenses, and AML-KYC ?

For people not kwnowing these fine acronyms, AML = Anti Money Laundering     KYC = Know Your Customer

I am a plain ordinary private citizen, that will send an amount of money from my bank account
to another plain ordinary citizen bank account; is it so difficult to understand ?

You can consult lawyers about it and they will probably all agree.

May be one exception for american lawyers, because they have now some special ways,
for instance they can use the USA Patriot Act to do pretty much everything they want;
they only need to label you a 'terrorist', and they can then ship you easily to Guantanamo.
I prefer the other part of the Cuba island, therefore I will not do a transaction
with an american citizen. Sorry.

Here, for your information, I've pasted a few lines from Wikipedia :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Know_your_customer

Laws by country
  • India: The Reserve Bank of India introduced KYC guidelines[1] for all banks in 2002.
In 2004, RBI directed that all banks ensure that they are fully compliant with the KYC provisions before December 31, 2005.[2]
  • New Zealand: Updated KYC laws were enacted in late 2009, and entered
into force in 2010. KYC is mandatory for all registered banks and financial institutions (the latter being given an extremely wide meaning).[3]
  • South Africa: The Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 (FICA)
  • United Kingdom: The Money Laundering Regulations 2007 are
the underlying rules that govern KYC in the UK. Many UK businesses use the guidance provided by the European Joint Money Laundering Steering Group as a guide to compliance.
  • USA: Pursuant to the USA Patriot Act of 2001, the Secretary of the
Treasury was required to finalize regulations before October 26, 2002
making KYC mandatory for all US banks. The related processes are required to conform
to a customer identification program (CIP)
I believe you should be more concerned about capital gain taxes, as the various governments will do their best
to improve their earnings and get at your money.

Hi SwissAlps,

You might want to edit some of your responses to these legitimate questions.
They come over as being "a bit" hostile.

Hello mikesbmw,

I surely do not want to offend anybody on this forum...

As you should know, english is not my primary language, so if something seems a little
rash or hostile, just quote it and I will amend it...or say my exact feelings about it.

Or may be we could use french  :)

I know SwissAlps, he was at the Nxt BBQ by me.

He is nice and sell me wine for NXT.

I have some question :
- How do you make the price of the assets, manualy? weekly ? Daily ? Witch prices/graphs do you use for it ?

How many asset do you sells and how can we be sure that you have the FIAT reserve for the SEPA transfers ?

I don't need the service now but if I should have CHF, I will use your service. It's a easy way and best way at the moment.

To process money in either the EU or process USD you need a license. You can't just say you do it private...

But I don't care anymore... People don't learn.

Hi youyou,

This confidence thing is the most complicated part, I agree.

If you treat with 100 people, you can safely assume that 95 are honest; the problem you have is how do you deal
with the 5 remaining. The last events at BTER show that it is still possible, if you always take in consideration what
is more profitable for the treacherous party, do the deal or not.

In the case of EURNXT, it wouldn't make any good if I fail to deliver for the minimum transaction wich is 50 EURNXT; everybody
can check easily these on the blockchain; and people are quite active on the forum, that would be a very BAD publicity;
it is possible also that the treacherous party is on the other side of the deal, contesting here that I have sent the
payment correctly (I would have then to somehow transmit  a copy of the payment to somebody that everybody trusts in
the forum); some Nxters work actually on ways to evaluate the assets of the AE, but I don't know where their project stands.

Now, suppose that the first 10 transactions occured smoothly; it would not be very much more risk to make a 60 EURNXT
transaction. What I will do is add a form in the NxtTracker.com that shows all transactions
done, date, time and size, so that people can decide easily what kind of risk they want to take. It would be also nice if the
people using it give a feedback in this thread.

Other ways to cover this specific risk is by giving a better exchange rate on the AE than the current rate; I suppose
that the day I give 1 NXT = 0.00009 satoshi instead of the current 1 NXT = 0.00006, some people will be want to take
their chance.

PS : Speaking about BTER and TheSir problems, I do not want to accept these kind of tainted NXT and would like to know if
somebody could establish a list of all accounts that are tainted; could we have an automatic warning when treating
with them ?

Hi Ludom, nice to hear from you; this BBQ was great, hope we can do it again  :) :) :)

Concerning the asset prices, I set them manually, when I see that there is a great
discrepancy with the actual rate; to do this, I use coinmarketcap.com to get
the NXT and BTC values in USD, and swissquote.ch to find the currency rates
for CHF EUR.

Because NXT is moving wildly, it means that if it goes down suddenly, before I had
time to set the new prices, you can make a good deal buying NXTEUR, NXTCHF or NXTUSD;
conversely if the NXT price shots up, you better wait until I have set the new
rates (I will post the new rates in this thread, to make things easier).

For this operation, I have set aside 30'000 EUR; and I plan to buy 1.1 M, as you can
see in the post https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=4612.0

As the operation goes on, I will adjust the offered amounts on the AE accordingly,
to make sure that I always have the required capital (for the moment, I have set
3 offers of 100'000 NXT).

Note : for big amounts, people should use CCEDK, with Ronny Boesing giving a very good service;
it is important that Nxters use the established exchanges, because that's how we can establish
a price for NXT !

Nice initiative!  :D

Very good way to exchange NXT -> EUR. When I'll need it, I'll think in NXTEUR.

What are your SEPA costs for now?

Un grand Bonjour de la France √† la Suisse!  ;)

Yes, SEPA transfer could be free.  :D

I work with one bank who allows SEPA transfer for free; I (can) work with another one who asks fees even for SEPA transfer.  :o

Depends of bank. That was the reason of my asking. What about your SEPA transfer?

With UBS of Switzerland (my bank), outgoing SEPA transfer is free :) :) :) (as long as it stays in the same currency).

Some banks are charging for incoming transfers  :( :( :(, so you better check also with your bank.
