antanst was on the list and has also declared he'd be happy to participate.

yes- vote in favour

We'll have to ask emonru - I guess stepping back for some time should be no reason for anyone to drop out of the committee, that would not wise.

There'll only have to be a way handled on some minimal aspects regarding voting..

I mailed him earlier today and asked his opinion..

Ok so i guess we better talk about this. A 5/5 consensus must be reached inorder to change the 5/5 consensus requirement. In light of the fact that there seems to be such strong opposition to the 5/5 consensus requirement i am willing to change my position. If the other 4 committee members vote in favor of changing the 5/5 consensus requirement to 4/5 than I will vote in favor of that change as well thus giving us a 5/5 consensus on the initiative to change the consensus to 4/5.

First some concerns as to whether emoneyru is still on the TechDev committee have been raised. Lets settle that question and then talk about changing the consensus requirement.

I agree with 4/5 consensus for generic topics and 5/5 to change the consensus rule.

What did we decide about projects submitted by techdev members? Is it allowed or not?

not yet.

it should be discussed, as e.g. wesleyh may be interested in joining, but he can't because he would be punished by not being able to get a reward for his webwallet. Which means he can't join, because then his work would be devaluated.

Personally I think that it should be allowed, but then the submitter vote doesn't count. So what this means if we go for 4/5 is that if a techdev member submits a proposal everyone else in the techdev has to agree (in order to reach 4/5).

The Marketing Committee allows its members to submit proposals... but the resulting vote must then be unanimous, and the submitter cannot participate in the vote.

I am aware of this. I maintain my position and would ask that you guys consider re-evaluating yours. These are very very dangerous incentives. It encourages people to swap favors. It encourages the politicization of something that ought to be a-political.
