AWS node connecting to testnet: "Nxt server stopped"
« on: July 24, 2017, 09:56:29 am »

Hello all,

I installed Nxt in an AWS EC2 Linux AMI instance using the instructions in "How-To:CreatePublicNode" in the Nxt wiki.

I am connecting to the testnet so I added nxt.isTestnet=true in my nxt.properties file.

But when I run Nxt, it starts then shuts down with the ff. messages in the log:

INFO: shutting down sendingService
INFO: shutting down peersService
INFO: Nxt server 1.11.5 stopped.

There are no error messages so I don't know what is wrong. I have misstyped the public IP of my node when I started it the first time, could I have been blacklisted?

Thanks in advance!

After some troubleshooting I discovered that I have failed to shutdown a previous Nxt server and it has been locking the db. I killed it and now my node is downloading the blockchain.  :-[
