Hi @rubenelportero and welcome to the forum!

There are other faucets like http://freenxt.org but you're not going to receive too much.

If you're interested on it start offering your skills (development, design…) in exchange of NXT on the "Services" section and maybe you can earn a little bit more.
The other option is buy some on exchanges or expect tips from other users or free-assets.

With the latest updates, IMO the "NxtWallet" is working fine

Everything you need (Assets, Monetary System…) is there!

It's not up to date but should still be the same procedure

Edit: I know it's not decentralized, but if someone could provide a ready to go SD card image for the raspi, that would be great!

Then again, one would still need to set hallmark, SSL certificate, etc...
