Nxt General Discussion / Re: 100 blockchain related apps
« on: December 05, 2017, 03:14:38 pm »
I am desperately looking for an app or add-on or plugin to make the export of Nxt transactions easier than now in order to Import them into cointracking.info
For now, I have to call an API function to get a set of transactions in JSON format, convert the JSON text into an Excel file, copy this Excel file into a predefined Excel template and use this filled out template for the import function in cointracking.info

cointracking.info is a valuable tool to track all cryptocoin transactions in particular to generate the tax report that will be included in the annual tax declaration.

With the future Ardor transactions on the new blockchain, things will be getting much more complex because of the child chain transactions, forging of ARDR and bundling activities; this can no more be handled manually

So an app for export of all transactions between a start and end date would be very helpful for me both for the Nxt and the Ardor platforms.

Please do not use freewallet.org
Use the official wallet software only (https://nxtplatform.org/download/)

Nxt General Discussion / Re: Ignis airdrop to easy to make money?
« on: December 05, 2017, 01:09:11 pm »
So at this moment it isnt possible to turn Ignis into money? And nobody knows when it will be possible, did i understand this right?
At present, there are no real IGNIS coins. There are JLRDA monetary system coins on the Nxt blockchain instead that are not tradeable. In January, you will find the IGNIS coins appear on the Ardor blockchain. These IGNIS can then be exchanged.

The JLRDA coins on the Nxt blockchain will disappear in January.

There was never a series of snapshots planned for the IGNIS airdrop, but a defined block height. It is correct that it is now planned for December 28th with the exact block height to be announced later.

And yes, if you have NXT in your local NRS client you are eligible for the snapshot. If that is not feasible for you, you also can use nxt.jelurida.com as a remote client.

Hmm, der API call gibt leider nur 100 tx aus, weiss jemand wie ich alle bekomm?

Um alle Transaktionen zu erhalten, musst du erst ein Admin-Passwort im Client definieren und beim API-Call eingeben.

@VanBreuk Cryptocurrencies can skip tax laws, but not constitutional laws.

Cryptocurrencies can neither skip tax laws nor constitutional laws. You have to pay taxes for profits from cryptocurrencies if the law in your country enforces it.

So I still don't follow, is NXT deprecated now that Ardor exists?

How do you come to this assessment having shown the opposite facts?
NXT is and will not be deprecated.

So I was here for a long time and NXT was one of the most promising cryptos with one of the first if not the first original code bases. The incredibly hyped Tezos project mentions NXT all the time. What happened exactly, why did we become #65?! Did the original creators purposely kill NXT for future projects?

Marketing was not one of the strong aeas of the NXT and Ardor team, but have a look at the Jelurida Whitepaper https://www.jelurida.com/sites/default/files/JeluridaWhitepaper.pdf and read on page 36:
• Nxt blockchain maintenance for at least 3 year safter the IGNIS crowdsale
• Porting of features to Nxt where possible and not depending on the parent-child architecture

With a marketing company on board now, NXT/Ardor visibility will improve eventually.

Nxt General Discussion / Re: IGNIS ICO
« on: September 12, 2017, 02:43:57 pm »
In round one 1 NXT = 4500 Sat. 1 JLRDA = 0.4 NXT = 1800 Sat. In round four 1 NXT = 2000 Sat. 1 JLRDA = 0.76 NXT = 1520 Sat. So, the guy who ran away with all the JLRDA in the first few rounds did not get such a great deal afterall ...
This calculation can only be valid supposed that
1. The buyer sold BTC for NXT
2. The buyer sold his/her BTC just before the ICO round.

There are many(?) people (me included) who had already NXT for a long time and therefore didn't care about the NXT to BTC rate. There are also people (me included) who don't buy NXT via BTC, but with fiat directly.

Nxt General Discussion / Re: How to Trade ARDR
« on: August 30, 2017, 08:20:04 am »
Where in my account can I find the transaction resulting from the ARDR snapshot in October last year?
I could not find it in the transaction history.

If only we had the Riker's IP  ;D i will set it alone in both  ;)

Would this really help? Don't you better need the IP of the forger who includes the buy transaction in some block?

Hmm... payout has slowed down a lot.

I can confirm that (Open API, Hallmarked node).

Thanks for the suggestions!

Another important point to consider: Since your IGNIS ICO buy order will expire automatically after 1440 blocks, i.e. about 24 hours, place your order at the earliest 24 hours before the end of the buy window, not earlier.

The schedule for the second round has already been published and it is very unlikely that it will be changed.
That said, I prefer the way Jelurida decided (4 x 20,000,000).
Why take the risk that a few whales get (nearly) everything?

... with a very strong passphrase with unusual symbols such as @.

Did you print out a paper wallet? According to the Changelog there was an error that now has been corrected. Only if you printed out a paper wallet: A passphrase which contains special characters using an earlier release, this passphrase may have been printed out incorrectly, with those characters missing, or truncated.

The instructions for setting up a public node using https all assume a Linux-type server.
I use a VPS server running Windows Server 2012 R2. I already set up the Windows version of the Nxt NRS.

What are the steps to be followed in order to connect securely via https://my.node.domain:7876 on a Windows server?

Nxt Helpdesk / Leased forging and hallmarking a node at the same time
« on: August 14, 2017, 03:54:57 pm »
A question concerning hallmark and forging at the same time with different accounts:

I have two NXT accounts, let's call them account A and B. Account A has quite a large balance, good for forging; account B has less than 1000 NXT.

With the lease feature, I can lease the forging power from A to B. When my node with B runs permanently on a VPS, I can forge the large balance without having to run my node with A. This is correct so far?

So far so good.

Now I hallmarked my node with account A running on said VPS. Is this account A still eligible for the NXT lottery (supposed the properties are correctly set)?

In other words: Can I run my node on the VPS with account B with leased forging power from A and at the same time take part in the lottery using the hallmarked account A?

The link https://nxtportal.org/resources/ contains outdated exchanges: Coinimal and CCEDK. Both do not offer NXT anymore. Please remove Coinimal and CCEDK entries from the resources list. Thank you.

« on: August 09, 2017, 01:07:46 pm »
i have done this "scheduling"  ... now near all my NXT are lost, but i havent receive JLRDA  ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

1. You created a so-called "Phased Transaction", not a scheduled one. This type of transaction can only be reached when you open the advanced options. There is no need to open the advanced Options for the IGNIS ICO.

2. Your NXT are blocked, not lost. You specified the condition(s) when your NXT are available again.

Well said, Brangdon! 1440

Also my congratulations to everybody involved in NXT and Ardor design and development for the pioneering work and especially for the short-term remedy to maintain a smooth and satisfying ICO.  ;)

Keep on going... Don't be frustrated during bad times.
