It's funny, it's not a clone any more, soon there'll be built in escrow -- in the wallet

44
Its not an asset.... It's it's own coin

Why is NXT awesome? Cause of the features. Why is litecoin awesome? Cause if the asic resistance(used to be...). Now there is burst. Already we have a few great devs. You people just watch, you'll see. But any way, in new to crypto, and I can see the place of nxt. The community is great. But as I see it, nxt will be around for ages, kinda just doing its own thing. Burst I guess will either become massive, or go the ltc route. Either way it's a good coin! If there is any GOOD reason why burst will die, please say, cause then I'll change my mind.

Nxt Asset Exchange / Re: "Asset Board" at NXTforum hurts Nxt badly

I registered two domains if we want to go forward with this:

nxtae.org
nxtmarket.org

Obviously we don't have to use these, but I thought they would be good.

Edit: I'm not sure what forums to use yet.  I know this one uses SMF, but these look good too:

Thoughts? http://forum.nxtmarket.org/

XenForo is a great piece of forum software. https://xenforo.com
It's not free tho.

Hey, can you confirm, there are 1,000,000 shares for sale on the ae. Is this shares to the entire dronemine, and each share will receive 1/1,000,000 of 30% of the yearly profit, or is only 30% of the company listed on the AE? So if all shares on the ae are sold then you still own 70%.

They released their whitepaper: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zDlGZn7sICIA8bUPhe6jPPzGOxA4YgTgi6J4XilFpgs/edit?pli=1

Can somebody debunk their PoA mathematically or is this the new shizzle?

They stole it from Crypti. Yet unable to deliver. This dev is a kid.

A very smart kid

People, burst is incredibly low ATM, and WILL go up. It is the first great coin built on nxt, so what would it say for nxt if it died? Maybe it'd say POS is the answer, but many would say that NXT is a FAILURE. So come on, invest now, or at least you devs port your things to burst, or release the source!

maybe im tired but this plea makes no sense?

I was on my phone...

What I was saying was that burst "is" NXT, but it is mined, which gives it value, plus it has NXT features. More value. If Burst fails, then people who are weary of NXT will be scared away. Maybe I'm wrong and it'll prove that POS is the answer, but NXT is also struggling with price, so I doubt it. Anyway, what I'm saying is is that burst is an amazing coin, it may be mined, but at least it isn't as power hungry as the rest, and the dev is working on using the plots for storage(although he is spectacle that it'll work), which makes me want to support it, and so I do. Obviosly I want more people to get in on it, so yah. ;)

I have got about 75% of the cryptonote algo work completed already.
What I am in need of is a dev VPS, and I'm too cheap to fork over for Digital Ocean for another $40 a month lol.
Any chance anyone runs a hosting provider and wants to donate a VPS for a couple of weeks?
It would need 2-4 vprocessors, 3-4 GB of RAM and ~60 GB of HDD
http://lowendbox.com/blog/ftpit-49month-atom-2750-7month-1gb-kvm-and-more-in-the-usa/

You can get the 3gb, it's very nice, and support is great! Highly recommended.

Oh, and it says it $48/year, but it's actually $40/year. In 3 months I've had 0 down time

Services / Re: NXTHost.info --- Get a fully managed NXT node for 130 NXT!!!
« on: September 07, 2014, 08:45:13 pm »
can you give more detail, or more links to detail about what one gets exactly from having a managed nxt node?

also, given that NXT may eventually fluctuate wildly in value, would you consider pricing your service in an NXT asset rather than NxT directly?  The reason is that you can act as market maker for your asset and keep the cost a steady rate no matter what the value of NXT is relative to a fiat currency.  For example 250 nxt might be worth $8.75 today, but it might be worth $20 next month if NXT goes up in value.  If you issued an asset like MnodeAsset, and charged 250 MnodeAssets per month for your service, then if NXT tripples in value next month, all you have to do is sell MnodeAsset for a lower price per NXT.  We customers can still buy enough NXT for $8.75 to then buy 250 MnodeAssets.  That allows us to plan for and pay a fixed $$ amount every month, you don't have to update your prices all the time in your marketing materials, and you still get a consistent $$ value for your service.

You just get a managed node. So you supply a hallmark, and a domain if you want, and we setup a node for you. The price can change(sorry, I should add that in to the op) and I'm guessing it will go down. The fact that you provide the hallmark means you get all the nsc etc. for that node as well.
