Hey sorry about the downtime, my Ardor node had crashed after a number of database timeouts. I just updated to 2.2.5, compacted db and restarted and it's back online.

Sorry about that, it's back online now.

When I search for account id I get information about account. But ARDR amount is different from what I see in my client. I'm fully synced. Client 2
2.0.12

This may be due to it showing "guaranteedBalance" which I've renamed to "Confirmed balance".  I added in the Ardor balance from getBalances so it should be accurate in the balances table.

do you mind if i URL link accounts and blocks from my forging pool sites to open up links and accounts at your site?

I don't mind at all, that's why the site exists!  :)

nxtportal is stuck at block 1647767

This seems to happen intermittently over the past few days.  I'm trying to track down the cause but it is most likely due to one of the recent "fixes"...

I just applied a patch that should resolve the issue. There was a manual lock that was not being released when handling an error condition.

I've started developing a block explorer for Ardor.  It has a similar look and feel to Nxtportal.org but under the hood it is a complete rewrite from the ground up. I will be adding lots of bugs and features over the next few months.   ;D

To those of you who have asked, yes, I am working on a block explorer for Ardor. It is a complete rewite still in early development but at least you can browse blocks. Expect lots of bugs and updates at random times.

Nxtportal (test + prod) is down for maintenance for ~1 hour.

Edit: back online

The Ignis airdrop turned out to be an interesting production load test for Nxtportal. Last night the server peaked at around 7000+ connected sockets. I really never expected to see this many users on the site; In the past I'd be happy to see 50-70 online from time to time. It was barely keeping up at that point, considering that everything runs on a single 2-cpu VPS w/4GB and the Nxt client was allocated 2GB of that. I got a lot of valuable debugging data from the logs, particularly a few spots where errors weren't being handled properly that resulted in the nodejs process restarting.  Whenever this happens, thousands of sockets reconnect and it pegs the CPUs for a few minutes. This is still happening occasionally but I'm planning to depoly fixes later this week instead of hacking together hotfixes as there are still ~3000 active connections.

Hotfixed a bug in the server that was triggering a restart under heavy load and updated Nxt to 1.11.11 in the process.

Things appear to be stable again, currently peaking at 2650 3800 4850 (!!!) connected sockets.

There are currently 505 770 1830 (!) active connections on Nxtportal, by far the most I've ever seen!   8)

Ardor Software Releases / Re: Ardor v2.0.7e

Trying to log in with a new passphrase throws the following error -

"Your passphrase is associated with an unregsitered account. Make sure there is no typo in the passphrase. If you still like to use this passphrase create a new account and use the 'choose your own passhrase' link"

It doesn't make a difference if I enter my own passphrase or if I let the client generate one, it throws the same error message.

Official Nxt Releases / Re: NRS v1.11.7
« on: August 07, 2017, 06:13:27 pm »
Download link doesn't appear to be working from within the Nxt client.  Possibly because 1.11.7 files are not replicated on JLP bitbucket? https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/downloads/

The irony is that Nxt was always criticized for it's initial distribution and now Ignis will have a legacy of a charade ICO that was bought entirely by original Nxt whales.

15
Jelurida should stop the ICO and relaunch after revising the scheme.  Nobody thinks it is going well and it will not end well.  The damage to reputation matters more than anything at this point.

2. Every user who invests in the ICO will need an Ardor account in order to access the funds after the distribution. By using a controllable currency we save the need to go through a complex and error prone manual reclaim process where we can possibly need to help 1000's of users create their NXT account and associate them with their crowdsale contribution, not to mention the software solution needed to be developed just for this one time effort.

Ok this is a good point.

This ICO is very poorly designed IMO.  Why not just set a timeframe and allow people to buy Ignis with BTC/LTC/ETH/NXT?  Managing multiple time windows in an attempt to prevent whales from buying up all the tokens is unnecessarily complicated, and also makes it extremely difficult for the average person to participate because it requires setting up a Nxt wallet and buying NXT and sitting at your computer during each time window to see if you get lucky enough to buy some Ignis tokens.  There are plenty of very successful ICOs out there that could be used as a model for the Ignis ICO.

It's easy for anyone to send some BTC to an address before a deadline.  Instead you created a scheme that will result in a sniping war between existing Nxt users while excluding a huge number of potential participants.

Nxtportal was down for 2 days.  If you refresh the page you should see the currently connected peers.  Note that this is not necessarily all nodes in the Nxt p2p network, only the ones that are connected to the Nxtportal Nxt node.  If your nodes don't show up there it doesn't mean they aren't working.

Looks like the cause was a kernel security patch that broke node-java:

https://github.com/joeferner/node-java/issues/399

Both sites are back online again.

Is anyone using nodejs and querying the Nxt H2 database?  It appears that some recent update broke the jdbc driver package as it can no longer connect to the H2 db without crashing with a segmentation fault.  I've been trying to get it running again for hours and at this point I'm probably going to disable some features in order to get the site working again.
