Nxt General Discussion / Re: Nxt Slogan Poll!

Oh yeah, that nonsense, happily forgot about it   ;D

Then my slogan is supposed to be: The future is Nxt

I'd like to propose these two also:

We're NXT.

You're NXT.

First thing I think of: Is there a price on my head? Where's the hitman?  ;)

The future is NXT

Maybe too vague.

My vision:

Remember that a slogan shouldn't be TO precise!
Otherwise your focussing on one or maybe just two aspects and NXT is much MUCH more.

That's why I think a simple slogan like: "The future is NXT" just works.

It's obvious that the future IS next, but just what is NXT?
I would be intrigued if I saw a black billboard that just said: "The future is NXT" (NXT logo) (caption: visit us at nxt.org)

That would stick much better than: NXT - the future of decentralization or whatever. Something like that is to long, people have NO idea what NXT is and or what decentralization is (in this regard) and put together they really have no clue. That's something you forget (or I do anyway).

A slogan should provoke, make you wonder. It should be short, it may be lame or corny, but it should stick and have some truth to it.

We are all working on a possible future for anonymous fast currencies, exchanges, messaging and so forth. THAT's what a slogan should represent.

Anyway, that's my vision  ;)

NXT Multipools / Re: Mining Nxt with CPU or GPU (ATI or NVIDIA cards)
« on: March 24, 2014, 03:14:46 pm »

I doubt it would pay off mining scrypt. I have a pretty decent 8-core i7 and with the base minerd (64 bit) I barely peek above 50 khash.

If/when these pools or others offer more options to mine other algos, it would be more feasible. I remember getting 5x times that hashrate when using modified minerd for DRK.
Wow, that's VERY inefficient then!

Even the Intel Iris in my 2014 13" Macbook Pro gets to 21 (on normal settings).
So, it's a no go to make a profit with cpu mining.

If you buy just one 7950 graphics card you get 250 and more.
