Nxt Projects / Re: NXT PHP Client Library
« on: May 12, 2018, 06:28:36 pm »
Project alive ?
It is not a living creature you know.. but "yes" Github link is up to date.

The number of nodes does directly really make it "safer", it makes it more resilient: censorship & network failure. But ok, one could argue, that resilience is a safety component.

Now that there is JPL = an incentive for holders (Ignis for Ardor and nxt for NXT clones) to promote clones, it is, indeed, time to hope for clones to provide the best they can, to the global ecosystem. So, the more we can help them, the best.

Clones provide infinite scalability, if niche clustering forms. There are completely parallel networks. And they have the marketing advantage that "your passphrase" works on all of them (although this might be a fallacious argument as everyone is best to organize himself with a ton of passphrases), people are what they are and they still tend to associate accounts with, activity, type of actions, personalities, reputations, things they could propagate from main to clone and reverse, all build-in in NXT ecosystem naturally! Right or not, this is surely an argument that can play a lot in favor of adoption.  Clones are great products for innovators: they potentially already have users from the main.

Evolving from, asset or currency to childchain and to childchain to clone should be made as easy as possible. This looks like a recommended path and would contribute to JPL respected ("JPL distribution function at genesis").

To "plug" them, the minimum is that they notarize into Ardor or Ignis, which requires some people to pay for that, this can not be build-in I'm afraid. What Komodo is doing for cross chains exchanges should be considered. Or "just cooperate" with them could probably be enough.

Nxt Projects / Asia JPL promoters to entertainment industry

Did you guy paid attention to these ? ETMtoken 1618883051062809664 / https://tokenmaker.vip

I just decided to support them.

First, they cleverly "spammed" NXT : one month ago, they sent 360 public AM to accounts with specific activity: balance leasing, it seems, not bad... may have been better targeted but shows a rare knowledge of a good marketing practice!

*Very well* targeted spam is not spam anymore but super efficient communication ! [I'have been debated about this marketing subject for 15 years now!]

Their goal is to promote the NXT Blockchain Creation Kit by coaching companies of the entertainment industry to using it.
They will ask for 10% of the new tokens issued by the company to be distributed to the ETMtoken 1618883051062809664 asset owners.
The funds collected during ICO will finance them. They need about 70 000$ to start, and will refund us if they can not reach it.
And off course, their clients will also have to issue the extra 10% to NXT holders to comply with the JPL licence.

They have good pedigrees, several years in web related stuffs (CRM, websites and NXT) their first client is known:
a team out of Tapei Taiwan whose plan is to build a blockchain based CEO game (good for our kids to train to their futur world)

What I found interesting, is that they market the JPL as a promotion vehicle. And I feel ashamed to not think about this angle first !

If you have high margins, like in entertainment, you easily send out discounts, but in the real world, you have to pay networks for your discount to reach people. But thanks of JPL, you send out discounts (10% tokens) to the entire NXT community for free! Word of mouth will relay your existence and you will get a good deal of early adopters out of this. A percent of them will support both your project and your network (they know how to run nodes). And this community is the best you can dream of! If you seek serious long term business, you'd better do business with nexters than with dogesters. You also have the most polite way to truly get in touch with the brightest minds outhere.

So that convinced me they needed a push. If you guys follow, I may buy more.

NXT clones are the solution for entertainment because, entertainment always require cheap fees. Main chain will always face expensive fees because of inclusion competition. The solution is *cloned chain* whose weakness is the network size. But with gamers + freebies to nxters, you can expect to initially get around 50 nodes network fast + you do not fear censorship that much so a small network can still be good enough to work with.

So they have the fundamentals right, and they are from Asia, I feel NXT is stronger with this kind of initiative active than not! Therefore I tell you.  :)

You guys do not know what Poloniex will do.  :-X

You do not have to select a bundler, some people started their own bundler and the cheapest of them win.

If the client tells you it is ok it must be ok.
Otherwise it is a bug.

Did you download the blockchain ?
or connected to a node (then you may change node)

Tell us your ARDOR_ID you operate with. Then I can look if really nothing happened.

I just realized that you want to exchange your Ignis for ardor, and not just transact on Ignis chain. Then indeed, you need Ardors, because you want to make an opeation that modify your Ardor balance.

"Bundlers accept the fees from those child chain transactions, in the corresponding child chain coin, and pay fees in ARDR to the parent chain forgers."

As long as there is a bundler (and now there are): user pay fees in childchain token, that's the whole purpose of this.

What is the purpose of bundler then ?

I know that when you go to http://localhost chrome shows a warning when you clic on the info icon. It just mean "http not good someone can listen between you and the server".
But this warning does not makes sense on localhost or since you are dealing with your own machine.

I agree with box1413 that some opened source shopping cart modules are welcome although I'm not convinced it is a real tactic (to few coin users), however it is a good to have to grow the example arsenal. Then it boost others that will be more creative and will specifically target coin users.

Most CMS users / business owner are very low tech profile, so I'm convinced they should'nt even run an ardor node for their business.
What is required to serve them is some kind of coinbase or blockchain.info service that runs node for them, which is almost easier since then the addons they need becomes almost identical to any of the usual payment processors.

You do not need ARDR to move Ignis, a bundler will take some ignis fees and pay the ardr fees for you.

Just install a modern one. Nxt are not in wallets, but in the blockchain. Passphrase is all you need.

Poloniex Ardor account has YOUR Ignis.

Nxt Helpdesk / Re: No IGNIS yet, mistake or scam?
« on: January 03, 2018, 09:56:34 pm »
Every instruction was CLEARLY given, as well as warnings from the vollonteered community.
The scammer only catch a tiny percentage, most of it's target (99%) did not react.
He knows it, that's his way to hunt.

The only fight back is to make your story famous.

If you are not paranoid, you may fall anytime in this kind of trap again.
The youngest one should be teach, but in the end, nothing works best than learning from your hard loss and own mistakes. So you had a good intuition not to play with larger amount.

PS: be careful with crypto on exchange, they are in someone else wallet.

If at 1636363, Nxt were on an account then this account now has the corresponding Ignis in Ardor wallet. Honesty would be that poloniex credit your poloniex Ignis account once they support it.

Yes you got scammed and bought a meaningless asset. And several others did the same. Sorry for you.
You still have 502 Nxt available and thus also 251 Ignis on ardor wallet.

On 28/6 you correctly tried to participate to crowdsale and like many of us failed (due to limited quantity), so you only paid 1Nxt fee.

The day after NXT-EPTQ-TPMF-VPFT-6FK8R (scammer) sent you 2 of his JLRDA asset to get your attention

5 hours later you submitted a buy order for 2000 tokens of this asset againts 1100 Nxt (this is where you made your mistake) which got filled few days later.

The description of his asset starts with "Igins is the first child chain token of the Ardor platform. The IGINS token will be used for all functions currently implemented on top of Nxt." strangelly he used IGINS instead of IGNIS in the description, perhaps to remain legal..

This can not be reversed, this is a decentralized network with no master controller, you have his assets so he has your Nxt. The only thing that could be done would be to alert authorities to track him and potentially catch him. Unfortunately, authorities are not equipped for that. Trust no one, is rule no 1.

Nxt Helpdesk / Re: No IGNIS yet, mistake or scam?
« on: January 03, 2018, 05:24:30 pm »
JLRDA ICO tokens never was an asset, it was a MS currency. That's why the "ignis token sale" page was developped. If you acted there, no problem, the worse could be that did not bought anything.

I also have JLRDA "assets" those where sent to me by some scammer. That doesn't mean I bought them. I ignored them.

If you had JLRDA MS currency, now with an Ardor client you'll have Ignis in your account.

Always best to give your account ID with these kind of story such that experienced people can have look to what you really did or not.

Nxt Helpdesk / Re: Help Please - Sent NXT to Shapeshift and nothing
« on: December 23, 2017, 09:31:07 pm »
There is no way to reverse but there are all proofs that you sent and when.
They have to answer you and give you the proof that they sent (or not) the other coin the address you provided.

People are having trouble with exchanges support these days...
Everyone better test/verify with small amounts as if there was no support..

Shapeshit has been a reputable establishment, I think they will do their best, make sure they do not forget you.
