What you say makes absolutely sense.
I agree with you to wait after Ardor launched and consolidation phase with having a detailed migration strategy.
My comment was related to the a Quote like: "Nxt will still be running, so everything is fine without migrating.
So I'm curious why it would be a good idea to absolutely exclude migrating?

Why? Nxt will still be running, so everything is fine without migrating.

What makes you sure that NXT will not go down after devs don't support and extend NXT anymore?
Do you really think a blockchain platform without further innovation will survive?

Why do I think your talking about me here ..

I was Well aware of what I was purchasing even though you Changed things after the sale was complete you guys turned Jinn into a small part of Triangle while Jinn investors that only got 10% where footing the bill for all the expenses. (now your gonna start blablaing about time and lots of costs)
But I didn't see any Triangle Sales on the Nxt forum I might have missed it.

Most people that Invested in jinn thought they where buying a part of what you are now calling Triangle company that's not our fault that's yours for not being clearer about what was on sale.

It was very clear from beginning that you buy a part of the sales profit only.
Reading AND understanding is essential before buying something - and part of buyers responsibly.
Please don't speak for others if you don't understand what you do!

Inexperienced people , Nice little comment :  a lot of the investors thought they where buying into Jinn company if that was not Clear its your inexperience showing not ours.

Again, your "nice little comment" shows that you don't read terms and conditions and what was posted from issuer.
It shows you made decisions based on assumptions and than you where disappointed by reality.
Again, your responsibly.

But currently Ethereum has no MultiSig too.
They have a pre-alpha something which gives an outlook what will be possible next year.
Currently Nxt is still the tech-beast in crypto market.

What has FIFO to do with execution latency?

Sleep is for the weak, we need AAR!  :P

Since it was in London, how about "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith"

yeah, or try it like "Death or Glory"

its command line based.
Frontier will be command line based too, if I understand it right.

There will be a core dev supported NRS one click-installer in near future.
This will simplify "the average joe problem" massively cause you only have one download to access all apps.

So in my eyes a NRS plugin would be the way into future.

But anyone knows how may balloons are needed to get a gap less network?
Cause of the different wind directions you need a statistically relevant amount of balloons.
And how many devices can be connect to one balloon and still working proper?

What is about the latency increase and speed decrease per balloon from the provider station?
Currently we are connected directly with the provider station...

Nxt General Discussion / Re: Change some feature names
« on: April 11, 2015, 09:37:23 pm »
i'd have to agree with damelon aswell as i have first hand account of having to deal with explaining alot of the nxt stuff from scratch.

here's an idea: what if we piggy backed on top of ehtereum's marketing terminology? we all know ethereum got their marketing game down, but what if nxt also named their own stuff that is inline with ethereum's naming convention? Ethereum is targeted to "developers" so they are going to educate them in ethereum's terminology. Now when a newbie ethereum dev searches for something to do with ethereum, NXT's search results will also pop up since its naming keywords are similar.

not the baddest idea in my opinion!!!

could you create a list with equivalent names?
I'm not up to date with ether features roadmap but maybe someone who is could do this quick and dirty?
I remember there is and feature matrix, Chuck One could help with a link?
This list just needs to renamed by the ether naming convention and we can look what we get..

I mean not only NXT as a currency, more NXT as a platform.
This platform should be able to perform transactions via any kind of crypto currencies.
- that's for sure ;-)

thanks for posting the link.  :)
In case of James projects I don't fear about less promotion after production release ;-)
Problem is more that its always explained in a mystical way,
and its bloated with all the side projects so that insiders lost overview...

This year will be very important, not only to keep the innovation lead - also to make progress in adoption.
Next year new players will be there in a fantastic game - I'm curios...

ah, ok.
My guess was mgw has issues with volumes only.
But as you mentioned correctly, it's not decentralized...
So there is no strong argument to convince desperate people ;-)

We should think about a possibility to trade foreign coins without need to host their complete blockchain.
Maybe a kind of decentralized wallets hosted on the NXT blockchain.
Than a customer can transfer funds from the native foreign blockchain to this meta wallet at NXT blockchain.
Now the meta wallet funds become working like a proxy or pointer to the native foreign blockchain.
If a bit/ask becomes matched on AE the meta wallets balance becomes actualized.
But also there is a need to process the transaction on the real blockchain.
To achieve this and have all transactions consistent, the trade volume from both meta wallets need to withdraw back to their native wallets and after confirmation the transfer is processed at the native foreign blockchain.

uhmmm, some issues to solve here...
Lets wait and see what comes nxt.

Old Nxt Promotion Topics / Promoting Decentralized Exchange?
« on: March 10, 2015, 07:17:46 pm »
Are there any efforts in promoting NXT as a decentralized crypto exchange?
I mean, currently all people are aware about the problems with BTER.
They checking out their coins and (re)think about what next?

This could be a chance in finding open ears and eyes about new concepts!
BTER was the one of the major exchanges so their funding will be redistributed...

Asking again: Are there any efforts to promote NXT as a decentralized exchange this way?
