This gadget will do the same thing of the trezor, and we plan to have the Nxt algo natively in the device :)

He is a Felon who really contributes nothing to Bitcoin or Crypto.
;D!

Still, I don't see anything bad extending reach of NXT to another popular social place over internet where crypto enthusiasts get together. :)

I don't either, just stating my opinion on Ver

Everyone should start using Roger Ver's forum.bitcoin.com ;)

He made it because of the cencorship.

P.S. There is an altcoin section, and it still doesn't have NXT ;)

https://forum.bitcoin.com/alternative-cryptocurrencies-altcoins-f45/

Anything Roger Ver "makes" is to line his own pockets.  Don't ever think Ver does anything out of the goodness of his heart. He latched onto Bitcoin because he thought it was a get rich quick scheme, he was right, because he bought when it was very low.  He is a Felon who really contributes nothing to Bitcoin or Crypto.  The faster Crypto gets away from these type of people, the better.  Anyone remember him vouching for MtGox right before they imploded?   Sorry to be negative, but I can't stand Ver.

Nxt Community News and Announcements / Re: [ANN] Jinn
« on: October 22, 2015, 08:11:49 pm »
IOTA was developed completely separately from Jinn. IOTA fundraiser will go to development and maintenance of IOTA as well as Jinn. But IOTA itself has been developed without the help of any Jinn raised funds. Neither me, CfB or Mtchl takes out any salary in Jinn nor have we ever done so. All nxt tokens raised in the auction goes strictly to pay salaries for our electrical engineers, advisor, developers and physical component manufacturing. Nothing else.

Yes, that's kind of my point.  I think many people may be worried that development efforts are shifting from Jinn to IOTA.  Regardless, I think Jinn/IOTA exchange should be priced at the value of Jinn when you made the announcement.

I was also under the impression that Jinn tokens represented equity in Jinn Labs, but the practicality and legality of a crowdfunded equity stake is impossible to realize due to various local country laws etc...

Conversion to Iota makes more sense. In fact I would say that all future Jinn related dividend payments should be made in Iota as well.  I would allow any Jinn token holder to convert to Iota at a fixed rate at any time.  That way Jinn tokens still hold value and have the potential to earn it's owner Iota down the road.  I would also give original Jinn token buyers a favorable exchange rate to Iota as they helped fund the project from Jinn Labs from scratch.

Hi my beloved Nxt-fellows,

After a large absence here, I am back today to ask you: Do you SERIOUSLY think NXT will ever explode?

Last 6 months for this (my precious) coin were horrible. Nowadays I just see a bunch of worse coins overtaking NXT in coinmarketcap, devs (or big names as Come from Beyond) abandoning ship and less and less movement in this forum. All these facts together worries me a lot.

Always yours,

Jack-in-to

Nxt launched during the height of the Bitcoin bubble, so there was immediate excitement and speculative buying/predictions of most Alt's at the time.  The entire crypto space has been in a bear market the last 6 months (actually longer).  Unfortunately I only think Nxt will rise and be rediscovered with another BTC bull run.  Nxt has an incredible list of core features and usability, but it won't rise in price with marketing, we've tried that and it only results in temporary pumps.  The work of EvilD and Damelon is awesome, basically planting the Nxt seed for growth during the next bull run, which I predict will take place in about 6 months.  Just sit tight and be patient.

So any news comming soon ?
It was a scam. Your money is gone long ago.

Be patient. :) I know you are kidding and sarcastic. Jinn is not like a typical cryptocoin project. It is targeting a real business space/product and needs lots of R&D (meaning time and resources). Any rush to show off is not a good thing for either the project or investors. Some time, no news is a good news. ;)

I'm actually scared to see what CFB's superbrain has produced with this much dedicated focus.  Usually he's trolling the boards while producing some brilliant code and theories.  Imagine a completely focused CFB...yikes!  :)

I have a feeling there is a big announcement coming shortly.  They want to have all their ducks in a row before announcing anything, and it's going to be big.

So what exactly can Ethereum do that NXT can't and vice versa? What are advantages? I would like some answers from more experienced people here.

Thanks

I feel like you would have to pay me to take the time to answer. :)  Ethereum is designed much differently than Nxt.  I would start here: ethereum.org and Nxt.org  Not trying to be a smartass, but they are both very complicated protocols and it would take pages to answer your question.

Very cool, looking forward to demo.

i think its more important to get real world usage and do marketing of the already implemented features..

New version of Qora has a social network and decentralised web built in. Can we get one of those?

Agreed, not sure why we need another social network.  Nxt should focus on it's core features and roadmap.  Others can build on top via API.

There is evidence that the Chinese are systematically pumping Alts right now.  Dash is their current victim.  Wonder if Nxt is well........Next.   :)

I doubt this is good for cryptocurrencies in the long run.
wait!

People always complain NXT has no marketing and that is why its price is low. Why would a 1+ year bear market have anything to do with low prices. It is just lack of the right marketing, everybody knows this.

Since all these altcoins are going up so much, it is proof they have superior marketing.

Now you are saying there is a flaw in my logic??

James

You know the old saying "Chinese mining pump conspiracies make the best marketing"

a couple of random questions for today July 8, 2015.  1) a year and a half from now, if nxt hits $1.50, what happens when all of the current 'now rich' developers close up shop and call it a career? and 2) 3 years from now, after a few more countries financial collapse(s), what happens when their respective governments outlaw business' receipt of virtual currency as a form of payment?  or outlaw them completely due to stealth features?

1) What will happen is that just like Bitcoin, which is worth 270$ at the moment, there will be people that would still develop Nxt.

2) Just like Internet, you can't ban crypto. Or you can ban it but crypto will still exist and serve the purpose.

If Nxt hits $1.5, it will bring in hundreds of new developers and projects.  The MarketCap of Nxt will be so high that JL will most likely be implementing small changes to the core and it won't require much effort/developers.  Most innovation will come from the plug-in side of Nxt.
