I found your name listed as a contributor elsewhere in the forums, so I added it. I can remove it, unless of course you'd like to provide input :)

I think that my name is probably not of any benefit (considering the recent *issues* to do with the AT project) so I think it would be best just to remove it.

I am not sure why my name is listed when I had nothing to do with this document or (as far as I can tell) any of the content in it.

There was a new topic created about the issues to do with AT and Nxt so it might be more helpful if posts to do with that are placed in that topic rather than this one.

We have forked Nxt and will in time release a "testnet".

At that point in time the repo owner (which is not myself) can decide who to invite to review the source code.

I am also not going to waste more time on this - if Nxt devs are ever interested in AT then they should contact either btc2nxt or vbecas.

Am now locking this topic.

It appears that JL won't communicate with me so perhaps he would consider contacting one of the other members of the AT team.

With zero communication there can be *no result* (and surely all we are trying to get here is a result).

He is a gentleman unlike me.

I think we finally found something we can agree on.

Sorry, if this post looks as a personal insult.

Strange - but actually it does look a bit like a personal insult (and I think JL can speak for himself can't he?).

Everyone should understand that when AT is launched (no matter which platform) it will be "open source" so it is not as though Nxt won't be able to implement it later.

It really is just a question of which platform AT should *first* appear on.

As far as we know you are still in the integration phase and didn't need a testnet at this very moment yet.

That is true - when we have a testnet version available we'll be announcing that.

AFAIK chuckone was managing it.

He hasn't contacted anyone from AT either (so rather hard to understand how he is actually "managing it").

Note that we might also consider implementing on NAS if that is preferable to most NxtAT Asset holders.

(I have no ties to any other platform so it really isn't a big concern of mine which is chosen)

Am I missing something here? JL agreed to have a testnet explicitly for AT. Isn't that what we want?

If that is the case it seems a little strange that he didn't contact anyone from AT about this.

Why not setup the testnet and let's see how it works

Please be assured that we will be doing that regardless of what platform AT ends up on in mainnet.

Did you try to contact him?

I emailed him several times in the past and he simply stopped responding.

Not all of them.

Of course we are never going to *please everyone* and whilst others are happy to want me to *do more work to please people* I have to say "sorry but I am rather busy with my own project" (and that project is *not* AT).

So if someone wants to *step up* and do some work to help Nxt *want* AT then please do so, otherwise we are likely to simply go where we are "more wanted".

I don't think your asset holders would approve of this.  A lot of your buyers purchased the asset to support NXT AT not "clone" AT.

The majority of asset holders have no real issue with this (I am in touch with them).

It is not our fault if Nxt devs want to make things impossible for AT (by demanding answers to loads of irrelevant questions) and other devs approach us with "open arms".

So - apparently QORA are very keen to adopt AT (and let us see their closed source) whilst JL won't even bother trying to contact me.

I think it is now starting to look as though AT is going to move to another platform.

Exactly. Better using the internal API that the Core provides in order to keep changes minimal.

I would be more helpful if you *read* my answer rather than *quoting JL's question*.

Again you are *misunderstanding* how AT works.

The script has to be verified by every node in the exact same way that Bitcoin works.

Nodes that decide to *trust* others about that are taking the risk that they are executing wrong txs.
