Hello NXT!

We posted this here too, so no one misses the new cool coin.

Sign up for our newsletter on komodoplatform.com, and you could win some KMD prizes!  8)

If you have BTCD ... or SuperBTCD you can swap it for KMD after the ICO.

BTCD Valuation for the swap

In order to simplify the BTCD to KMD swap, a fixed exchange rate of 1.0 BTCD to 0.00532074 BTC was established. This exchange rate was determined by adding a 50% bonus to the daily closing price average of August. The swapping process will take place after the ICO ends.

Average price in Aug = 0.00354716 BTC/BTCD
BTCD exchange rate =  0.00354716 * 1.5 = 0.00532074 BTC/BTCD
-> BTCD's are worth ~6846 BTC in the ICO [1 286 654 BTCD × 0.00532074 BTC/BTCD]

BTC Bonus system

Oct. 15 -           25% bonus
Oct. 16-22 -      20% bonus
Oct. 23-29 -      15% bonus
Oct. 30-Nov 5 - 10% bonus
Nov 6-12 -         5% bonus
Nov 13-20 -       0% bonus

BTCD Bonus system

Another bonus system was established to counter the dilution the BTC bonus system would have for BTCD investors. The bonus is calculated by applying the average bonus the BTC investors got to the swap rate.

Example: Lets say 10000 BTC are collected and 1000 BTC in early investor bonus was taken. That means the average bonus is 10%. This would bring the BTCD swap rate to 0.005852.

KMD coin distribution

10 million Komodo coins are reserved for development, advisers and bounties.
90 million Komodo coins will be distributed to those who participated in the ICO either with BTC or later with BTCD via the swap procedure. In other words, some percentage will go to those who invested with BTC and the remaining portion to those who will swap their BTCD to KMD after the ICO.

The BTCD/KMD and BTC/KMD exchange rates depends on how much money is raised, and they can only be calculated after the ICO has ended.

Thanks guys! :)

@Audo: Can you tell me how you designed this pdf file?

I used Scribus, which is an open source desktop publishing program. It should be an equivalent to Adobe's InDesign.

It's time to finally distribute that bounty. So it was 2500 SuperNET assets, and right now they are sitting in Digital Catallaxy's account.

I have been thinking about a fair distirbution and propose the following:

Audo: 2000 SuperNET (design, management, content creation)
Robert: 320 SuperNET (editing, content creation)
Proto: 30 SuperNET (proofreading)
qq2536007339: 50 SuperNET (Nxt blockchain statistics)
Dave: 70 SuperNET (reviewer of Nxt sections, a notable contribution to 'Nxt and the Law' article)
Noashh: 30 SuperNET (reviewer of SuperNET sections)

 - EvilDave said "Don't worry about a bounty for the piece, give mine to oldnbold, or the charity of your choice." So now his bounty is heading towards Robert :)

Send your NXT Address to me and I'll send the bounty to you.

Along with the bounty James generously gave a bonus as well! That bonus is used for marketing and future expenses, thus it will be kept on Digital Catallaxy's account.

Thank you all once more! It's a good report.

More will follow :)

Hello guys!

Sorry for all the delays, it took a while longer than I thought. I kept underestimating the amount of work there was left.

Anyway, now it's published and I'm really pleased about the outcome. Huge thanks goes to Robert and all the other contributors!

Check it out at http://www.digitalcatallaxy.com/report2015.html

Now we got to market it so it find its way to the hands of everyone :)

What's the status of ATOMIC, as it's on your chart?
Isn't it dead?

and there's a duplicate "5% of revenue to viral marketing campaign" from SuperNet

Yes, the version here is outdated. I already have a new, better version. But I didnt publish it yet, as I wanted all the core coin holdings to be accurate (and Im missing one). I should definitely put a date on those graphics.

I'll publish the new version in a few days.

Ye, Atomic is a dead project as far as I know. Although I assume there is some code done, and could have a small change that someone continues it. At least James has a plan for atomic swaps in his long term vision, but of course he might just code a totally different solution. In conclusion, yes I should remove that Atomic asset, so nobody buys it.

That duplicate mistake was reported ages ago, but I forgot to update it  :-[

2016 Market Crash Explained In 1 Chart - Mike Maloney: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT1suJ9cYI8

Excellent video, Maloney always explains everything so clearly.

As far as I understand, a decrease in base money (deflation) is what they are most afraid of. The base money begins to decrease as people start to pay off their debt and not taking more debt, that cannot continue too long however, as there is more debt than there is money. Thus they must stop the base money decrease by inflating the money supply with new money. That is done through low interest rates (encourage debt taking) and by direct bond buying. So I'm expecting QE4 this year, for sure.

It's gonna be a year of gold & digital currencies  :D

I got some good news mixed with bad ones.

The bad news is that putting the report together takes a little longer than I thought. Initially I wanted to publish it this friday (8.1), but I'll have to delay the release by one week. Anway, the report is coming nicely together and I'm really happy about the outcome myself.

The good news is that the report is being translated into Chinease. The translator's last update was that he has translated 2000 out of 15 000 words. Hopefully we can release the Chinease version along with the English one. If not, then it will follow when it's ready.

I have decided to allocate about $500 of the budget to marketing. There's no point of making an annual report (for marketing purposes) if only the community sees it. As there will be a Chinease version it makes sense to market it in China too. For that we have great connections through BitFirm. Core Media is officially a partner and has promising marketing packages too. I will think about the marketing plan more closer to release and after it.

In order to increase professionalism I made a website where the report will be available. At the same time I will build a platform that will release further reports about NXT, SuperNET and its ecosystem.

The website is www.digitalcatallaxy.com

I have a plan to add more content there in the future. Feel free to join the email list!

Oh sure! I only meant, that my own design cannot be printed, because of its dimensions.

Of course seeing it in physical form would be very cool.

What is this "first book about Nxt" you are talking about?

If there is demand, I'm ready to work on doing another design, that can be printed too. Of course that will probably be after the digital version is published, as the time is running out already.

These are amazing! Good work! :)

In about 2 weeks I'll start to put the final report together to my Scribus template. I think I'll include these graphs as their own page somewhere between the articles, along with a short description.

How many pages has your Annual Report? Did you plan to print it?

I did look over what I have so far and came up with an estimation. At the same time this will be a status update about the progress.

Full lenght articles: about 15 (About an A4 full of text each)
Featured assets/businesses: SuperNET assets (as James is the financial contributor) and BitFirm's customers (as I'm part of it and this publication will collaborate with BitFirm)
Asset intoductions: Various others that I choose to cover

Featured assets get extended coverage while other assets just a standard introduction.

The amounth of assets the report will cover is still partly undecided. I'm trying to finish the standard articles first, that form the base for this report. After those are finished and sent to editorial process I will start to work on those individual assets. I try to get those 15 full length articles finished this week.

Estimation of length is 30 pages + the number of assets I cover.

The report is not designed to be printed, for a number of reasons: 1) restrictions from a design perspective, 2) cost of printing, no budget for that, 3) marjority will be reading it online anyway.

However, I have decided to also do an another less visual (boring) version that will be optimised for home printing. I regognise that some people might prefer to read from a real paper.

I'll be doing anoter update as things clear up, hopefully next week.

Core Development Discussion / Re: Asset/Asset trading pairs NXT Core

I agree!

What's holding NXT back is the liquidity problem, and IOTA crowdsale is a proof of that. Being able to buy assets with SuperBTC or CoinoUSD would be huge. That would lure a lot of large scale projects into NXT space. Those would give visibility to NXT.

Amazing work! It will be exciting to see what kind of charts you can pull from your data :)

We run Bitfinex and poloniex bots for now. MMNXT goal would be to to focus on NXT AE exclusively, but for now there's not enough traffic there yet.
I can send you the bot addresses in PM. And yes, they are all market making bots, so very high volatility is not good for them.
Ok! Thanks
