Nxt General Discussion / Re: Ignis Token Sale Progress

Hey guys,

What does it means when i was actually able to get to the purchase confirmation page, submitted the purchase and see my NXT deducted. But one minute later, everything was refunded and i get this status in my transaction "Exchanges:   No matching exchange offer."

Under Exchange Booth, it shows up as unfilled order in "Exchange Request". Does it means that it will automatically be filled first when the next batch is released? Or is the whole transaction considered void and i have to try again?

It's considered void and you can try again when the next batch is put for sale.

I am seriously concerned(troll) that nxt price will plummet due to the ignis ico failure. Jelurida needs to address this problem asap.

People cannot buy Ignis on ICO and are anticipating sell pressure from Jelurida selling whale coins. Everything turned out much worse than I thought. I'm lucky to sell all my NXT at 4.9k when this madness began.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, as they say.

I predict you will be buying later, but the price will be higher ;)

Thanks for this, it was a bit of perspective that I needed.

I admit, I rushed hard to judgement on this one.
The dust has settled and more information has come to light.    I'm still going to stand by the project all the way.

This feels more like the attitude you want to be able to survive in this industry. Emotions always give bad advice. Honestly, we should be happy that it happened the way it happened, because speculators who were in it only for the quick buck will hopefully disappear, and it's good for them and for the project. Those who can see through the fud are strong hands and they can understand that this is all part of the game. Maybe, maybe the whale shouldn't have done the way he did, not as conspicuously. But in the end it'll turn out well, purging weak hands and making more people interested to explore the platform's rich set of features, the way you can interact with it and program it to do really cool stuff. The people who build infrastructure around cryptocurrency are manyfold more valuable than turn-quick-profit speculators.

I don't think you understand the majority of the words you used.  You have a strong opinion though, so that's like 75% of the battle right?  I'll help.  Exploiting procedural vulnerabilities is the antithesis of a free market economy.  In fact, it's generally against the law.  I'm sure you can figure out why?

What you consider a vulnerability is a feature of the platform, transactions are processed on a first-come-first-served basis. Default order of transactions that got in the same block is by fee/size. There was no exploiting, you can't maliciously exploit a feature that has always been there. So being a newcomer here, it is you who do not understand how the system works.
It is law of the technical rules of the platform that governs here. This is well documented and everyone is free to use this feature, which is precisely the free market digital economy with no bodies imposing "social justice" rules over it. You want social justice rules, cryptocurrency is not for you. Get the SEC approved traditional bonds and stock with a whopping 2% interest rate and be happy.

Nah, this ship will have tossed several speculator-only type cry-babies "ballast" overboard, while the believers are onboard and are sailing happy to the sunrise.

is there such a thing as test ardor to play with on test net? if yes, how do I get some? thanks in advance

ICO must go as planned.

The community doesn't need whiny teen speculators brought up with no concept of competition and having no idea how free markets work. They bring no value. All they can do is cry and blame someone else for their faults. All these new accounts popped up just for the ICO to turn a quick profit. It's not like they believe in Nxt/Ardor technology. It's good to get rid of them now rather than later when they cry again about every petty bump on the road. This is a highly competitive industry, bumps will be many.

Serious investors will not be deterred by free market action. Whoever buys these coins did nothing wrong, he explored the platform and knows how to work it. Everyone is free to do the same. Teens who want babysitting should grow up, this is part of their education. Hopefully they will learn a thing or two.

The more I think about this, the more I end up at the conclusion that what happened was fair. I didn't see anything in the ICO whitepaper that mentioned an attempt to split up the currency amongst the users. And, although I'm new to blockchain, it seems one of the fundamental principles guiding the philosophy is a laissez-faire / libertarian mindset -- which is exactly what happened. The market was free and someone exercised their freedom to purchase all of the tokens. Which someone pointed out was around $300k. He or she is risking their own capital and could lose out big.

I could see there being a macro-economic argument that societal features perpetuate wealth (blah, blah, blah), so the market isn't truly free, but the only way to correct such a thing would be redistribution. And again, it seems that one of the fundamental principles of blockchain is free-market principles.

Although you're new to blockchain, you get the essence and philosophy behind decentralized cryptocurrency. Many people, even some "veteran" members, do not. Too many entitlement programs in the world today that discourage competition.

While everyone is sweating on the Ignis ICO, I'd like to make notice that ARDR has been bloody cheap in the last few days. No special meaning in this, just saying :)

Only 1 account has not redeemed their Iota. Please follow the procedure below. This is 30.58G Iota waiting for you, delaying your meeting this pile of money is futile, it must happen :)

To redeem Iota, please send KIOTA currency back to NXT-LXTE-49TM-7BAZ-8W37F account and write your Iota address in an unencrypted public attached message. If you forget to add the attachment or send it encrypted, you'll need to send an unencrypted message to NXT-LXTE-49TM-7BAZ-8W37F account with your Iota address. Refunds are possible too, write 'refund' in the message."

OMG Im here and syncing chain now!

LOL username checks out. Please make sure you send the attached message with your Iota address unencrypted.

The error message suggests you already have an instance of Nxt server running on your computer. The second instance can't bind itself to the same port. Stop it / reboot your PC if you can't stop it.

How will this effect IGNIS ICO?

With OpenAPI your reward will be a bit higher, but it is not mandatory.

Hello, I would like to know what is the condition of getting lucky node?
My public nodes :;
Can I get lucky node ?

Your nodes are listed in peerexplorer.com, which is good.
If you have set the nxt.myPlatform setting to your NXT-address properly, you will be sent rewards when your node is randomly chosen amongst others. Because there are many nodes participating, it can take some time, for 2 nodes rewards should come every 3-4 days on average.

One more recommendation is to set these values higher:

And Craig Steven Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto.

Sounds plausible that CSW was part of SN team. SN couldn't have been one man. Yeah yeah I hear your question re location of private keys. It is probably that encrypted usb drive that belonged to CSW's partner who died.

As for CfB is BCNext, I'd bet 1 BTC that it's him. Not more, because who really cares.
