the first coin to brake free from btc will create waves in the crypto community, but i also do not think this is the case here.
It is not the first time that some coins will have a different trend than btc, in the short term.
Nxt is rather stable in the mid 0.00005 ranges for a rather long time now, though. I find this to be a good sign.

I also don't think we're unpegged from BTC. When the daily and monthly charts bear no resemblance, then maybe...

Not as far as we know.
Several timeframes were given at some point, but I've yet to see something definite.

Nxt had an awesome first year, and twelve months later the ecosystem is full of interesting people testing ideas and innovating at an enormous pace.
I am pretty sure that this will be another great year, with Nxt growing its userbase and hopefully attracting some mainstream attention.
There are so many Nxt-related projects spanning outside of crypto already, i can only assume this trend will follow the developlment trend and flourish.
