DeBuNe / Re: ERC20 DeBuNe tokens swap

Thanks for updating this post @capodieci. I'm waiting to know more about the evolution of your tech. Will be Open Source? Where the devs could take a look?

It will be open source, there will be repos where devs can collaborate. There will be licenses only for commercial use. There is a very long vision on this architecture, so we have set 5 steps to go through, 5 stable releases each advancing compared to the previous one. Some stuff in the first release would make sense only knowing the full view. We are working on preparing material to explain all this, will release toward the end of the year. We have a good team working actively only on this already, and we have some part already implemented and being tested. We release the all thing opensource only after we have a basic release, and very well documented the mechanics of the protocol. We will raise funds and set bounties for the core node to be implemented in various languages at due time. Follow Blockchain Zoo to know more as soon as we start releasing info.

Hello all,
here is a bit of history. In 2014-2015 DeBuNe raised USD20k and, with more personal capital injected, dev started, but shortly things went to a point where we needed to make some money to finance the project. We (as DeBuNe team) moved to take in projects to keep financing the implementation, until we got stuck in a legal situation where we had to pay attention even to mention the name DeBuNe. I still cannot say much on this as there are still situations open against a person. While things evolved in all the crypto world, the technology we implemented, based on NXT, wasn't good anymore. We had to keep the concept, but code again. Some more cash came in (privately, from me) and last year we had another attempt to get things up and running properly. In the meanwhile Blockchain Zoo (http://bcz.ooo) was born, to include DeBuNe as one of its core projects. It is now that we have a full team of people 100% devoted to implement a new type of blockchain, based on a different proof, that will be the base for DeBuNe implementation.

I been silent in the past months, and not so talkative in the past year, because of the legal situation created by someone we trusted. Now we are almost off there, and is soon time to resurrect DeBuNe, and bring it to life.

I appreciate everyone patience, and nobody has even been forgotten.

Thanks Rubenaco.

Soon this forums will be closed (I guess frozen, as it is good to leave here past messages for record) and we move the discussion to DeBuNe dedicated forum.

So much to share, and many good news, but small legal stuff still has to be taken care of.

The project is not closed. There have been legal and organizational issues that have created a delay, and we are waiting to confirm the deployment before of the next phase before making new announcements.

Afterall it is an awful moment for ICOs :)

Thank you for the link!

I have set a team of people with great experience, some from Blockchain Zoo, to structure DeBuNe Token Sale.

It will be great, but we just realised the contract deployed is not good... :( so we will do a further swap...

But for the common good. More news coming soon, the website is coming up well!

The reasons things have been delayed and plans changed are many.

I will publish soon the website with all the details.

Whoever can read solidity can see when the token sale will happen :)

2018 is the year for DeBuNe.

Nxt General Discussion / Re: Friendly nxt fork
« on: December 07, 2017, 10:54:17 am »
I am reading this in 2017....

I DID read the whole thread. It's been a fun hour here. My impression, when I started reading Jean-Luc "reasons" for him to go GPL, is that he did it with a hidden purpose to make money off his product... which is OK, but please, save that bs about your "philanthropic" need to protect your work. You just want to make money dude. STFU.

THEN I find that NXT is not longer under GPL but JPL (Jelurida Public License)... here an excerpt...

Quote
The main idea of the Jelurida Public License is not only to ensure that the source code of any work based on a work released under this license remains open, and remains released under the same license, but also to make sure that the community of the original blockchain token holders also receives back some of the new token value created by any such derivative projects, if those have opted to create their own blockchain instead of using the blockchain instance for which the original software is being developed. This is achieved by the JPL sharedrop requirement of Article 3.4.1 of the General Conditions.

This is LAUGHABLE to say the least. This is their true intentions all along. Make money. That's why it went from MIT to GPL and now JPL. Nerds businessmen wannabe... pitiful.

All it takes is create an anonymous company somewhere in South America, say Bolivia ($50), then a shell company in Panama ($1,200) holding the one in Bolivia... then copy your code, Find and Replace all reference to NXT for FCKU and run the damn code... by the time your lawsuit comes to the courts (and you have spent LARGE amounts of money and years)... it's too late.

So stop sweating it man. If anyone wants to profit from your work, all it takes is a little of ingenuity.

An aggressive approach would only generate a defensive tactic on the devs side. I have been trying hard to explain JL & co why many other projects (including 1:1 clones of Nxt such as Waves) go mainstream, while sadly Nxt is unknown to most of the crypto community. The human aspect is 99% of the game, and the approach taken by Jelurida has been not the right one IMO. I lost face in a couple of occasions where I did introduce Nxt as the key solution and Jelurida as the people to talk to, making the mistake of assuming the aim was to bring Nxt where Ethereum is now, as an example. I still have hopes for Nxt and I still believe a friendly approach can be taken to bring the spotlight in this direction and make all the (small) community around Nxt enjoy the success. The value of Nxt, probably not as planned, is on the technology, and not on the cryptocurrency. We -- they -- can still save the day, and make Nxt something big. Ardor aside, as strategically that is something else altogether IMO.

Some news about the swap ?

Fighting with an ETH smart contract. Realised the token previously created can't be used.

We should be able to deploy it soon, and once it is deployed I immediately do the swap :)

contact me in private, let see if I can help.

hello, looks like I'm a bit late, is there any way to switch my debune now? manual claim or something of the sort? If I can prove there were not traded for years...

Thanks

Sent you 2 PMs right away but didn't get any answer - can you still help? Thx

Yes, I am keen to help everyone, but I am travelling and jumping from a conference to another, I will follow up in December.

Check who set behind me at this conference yesterday... (I did ask him what he thinks about the use of smart contracts versus the use of smart transactions. and he is in line with my thought, which I found amazing.)

Nice!

One round on me!

Riker was in Amsterdam this week for business meetings and had time to setup a small Nxt meetup. We had a nice evening with sushi, beer and crypto.  :)

Guys, I know how annoying is when people come to ask you the same question over and over.
I got your back. I made a video you can send those people to :)

Many people ask me what is blockchain, why it is so important,
and what is the relationship between Bitcoin and Blockchain.
I hope this video helps to understand a bit more what blockchain is
and why it will revolutionise the way we will live online.

IMPORTANT AND URGENT

Last few hours to send back the DeBuNe Assets to the issuer account, to then get them as ERC20 or as DeBuNe tokens once the DeBuNe blockchain is launched.

I saw some of you that have put them for sale, in a few hours they will be worth nothing (I will put ALL the assets from the issuer account for sale at 0.00000001 (or whatever the minimum is).

Cancel your purchase orders, cancel your sales order and send back to asset issuer BEFORE all the assets will be put on sale.

Just a few hours left!

UPDATE:

Re topic at https://nxtforum.org/debune/erc20-debune-tokens-swap/

So far 90'670.6862 DeBuNe assets have been sent back to be swapped with ERC20 tokens.

There are still 158'772.24 that needs to be returned Before the end of October, or else they will end up not being swapped.

Whoever desires to swap the DeBuNe assets with DBN after the launch of the DeBuNe blockchain, please send them back specifying so in the message.

15 days left.

Roberto
