So, did any of the Kora/Ora guys issue SHUF?

Not sure what makes something, in a decentralized crypto coin system the "default"... but ok. Or is this something being used in Core?

Forum user barbierir created "Shuffle" MS (code SHFL) and then sent me a PM to kindly offer it to the community in case we decide to re-issue. barbierir also registered 'XORA' and 'ORAPROJECT' aliases on our behalf and offered to transfer them over to the community treasury account also. It's good to secure some of these MS names even if we don't use them, to avoid confusion, especially when name confusion is a known scam trick.

I do think it would be one of the main advantages of sticking with 'XORA' where the vast majority of trade will necessarily happen on InstantDEX where (I assume) James & co. can block obvious scam assets and MS coins with names designed to mislead people. On the NRS exchange booth and asset exchange that's not possible, but *maybe* on InstantDEX it is. I might be wrong about that and I guess we'll know soon enough after InstantDEX is released.

The 'shuffle' tech obviously needs a lot of liquidity to work reliably for anon mixing, so having the market concentrated at one major exchange might have advantages, especially as James will be overseeing the suffle tech itself. Our chances of getting enough liquidity for the ORA MS, and a user-friendly shuffle experience that 'works' straight off the bat are going to be improved greatly if the exchange & the shuffle tech work together seamlessly, and by keeping XORA with trade happening mostly on InstantDEX, and James helping us with the shuffle tech - it feels like a complete package IMO.

I'm not sure about SHUF though.

But this are my thoughts on the topic. I am not a developer so forgive me if I say silly things.

I made a little research on the so called "anon coin" and here is what I found out:

1) One of the best are Boolberry (http://boolberry.com/) and Dashcoin (http://dashcoin.net/). What do they have in common? They use CryptoNote tech. So I suggest Nxt Dev to integrate that tech to the main code.

2) If you want to adopt the shuffle method I suggest to look at Anoncoin (https://www.anoncoin.net/). What  is the underline tech? Zerocoin (https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Zerocoin)

So I don't get the point of distribute these XORA tokens to some users...

If you want to become the "official shuffle coin" and Nxt Dev agreed on that, I would like to see on the main wallet a tag that says "anonimize" and after a warning message and the transaction fee just do the job.

No need for me as a user to go to the Monetary System "exchange booth". Otherwise I will just choose the SuperNet client and use BitcoinDark (http://bitcoindark.pw/bitcoindark-and-nxt-1-0-vs-2-0/).

If these tokens have to be somewhere, they should be in a "genesis block account" like. Not distributed.

The XORA Dev should be then compensated with a NXT bounty, of corse.

No, not yet.
I estimate that this will be discussed once shuffling is getting closer to be released for the MS currencies in Nxt.

I agree with Nxter that the SuperNET dividend will probably happen closer to the launch of the shuffle plugin itself, but I'm open to other opinions on that.

One thing that we probably should discuss first is compensation for the new people who have come together and given renewed life to ORA. How will we compensate those individuals? Anyone following ORA for a while will probably be familiar with my 'power bounty' idea (i.e. merit based bounties voted by the community that create a small army of super motivated dolphins & mini-whales). We sort of moved past that when we went down the NXT MS road, and so avoided the need for a lot of extra features compared to if we'd continued to develop a whole new P2P coin network as originally planned, but my belief that people who contribute effort and produce results *should* be compensated still remains just as strong. So ... how can we compensate people?

This was the distribution I proposed  just before Nxter joined:

I will distribute the remainder of my 2% 'expense account' between these guys (~10M ORA), but I think we should consider doing more. Projects fail when people lose motivation! Pilot has expressed interest in maybe contributing some dev work towards the shuffle tech on top of his community treasurer duties, and apenzl will hopefully be doing a lot of the ORA marketing and promo work, plus organising a nxter.org distribution. Nxter is our chief community treasurer, & jl777 is our connection with SuperNET plus an all-round dev powerhouse.

So, let's try and discuss compensation for people now, before we go too much further down the tracks!

Number 1 in my book is a plan to implement the shuffle tech. Promotion at this stage and without shuffling integreted   is of no use.
Rewards for contributors is of course essential. No need for a committee vote either imo and I will go with whatever kora decides.

Good call, these people you mention should of course be paid for their time, work and efforts. As well as as other people who'll hopefully step up to contribute. Perhaps from "promotion & further distribution"? If 10% is too little perhaps we should consider putting more ORA into it to strike a balance. I guess an option might be to take some from shuffle rewards? Just thinking out loud here what might be reasonable.

Another open question I have is where our next community focus should be. Nxter is currently managing distribution and will do for a total of 3 months. For the rest of us, what would be the number #1 most important thing to work on during this time? Is it promotion?

I think the most important thing at this stage is to get the word out that ORA project is live, that we have a Currency and that the redemption process is open and running until 4th October.

At the moment of writing this post there are still more than 400 accounts with ORA assets and more than 100 accounts with MIC assets. Those assets will be worthless when XOS takes off. We need to inform the owners of those assets that now the XOS rocket is boarding and the gates will close in October.

To do so, we need an article about ORA in the nxter.org magazine and some PR on this forum, in bitcointalk and maybe even in other crypto forums.  I will start by announcing the redemption of XOS in my signature and I recommend others to do so too if you want this project to succeed.
