Does this issue out nxt dividends? and if so how often?
It issues dividends in other assets. I am pretty sure NXTventure has dividended out more than any other asset. Maybe someone can compile a historical list?

It is hard to predict the exact timing and bear market is not a good time for new issues. Long term probably one per month, at least that is the goal and historically we have done more than one per month

Why do the big whales dump NXTventure at around 40 NXT/shares? Is there any updates yet?

Hi James and Co!

It would be great to have an update on nxtventure and supernet. Or do I need to hang out in the slacks to understand how these things are progressing?

Kind regards to you all and much success.

there will be a NXTventure dividend coming up, probably within a month.
I got SuperNET ported into chrome apps, so this will allow a fully functional node to be installed with a few clicks.

pangea is the first use case for this method

still waiting on instantdex GUI and bug reports, but I am adding the secondary things like tradehistory and probably some simple Tradebots.

Once peggy is completed, then pangea (and any other SN project) will be able to have fiat priced transactions.

So, the tl:dr is that good progress is being made, especially on the reducing of the user adoption barrier, which in my opinion is the critical problem that prevents 99%+ of people from using crypto

To install the dev version requires 5 steps:

launch chrome with  --allow-nacl-socket-api=localhost command line arg

git clone https://github.com/jl777/SuperNET_API
cd SuperNET_API
tools/httpd.py -C . -p 7777 &
now you can go to http://localhost:7777

but end user releases will be a standard chrome app that can be installed with one click

James, thanks!

it's very welcome news indeed that you plan to create a one-click install. I agree with you that this has been the great barrier to entry.

Is this possible with the nxt client as well? I mean a one-click install, after which the client opens automatically...

you mean like this: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/supernet-api/bfofcmnhfkdohmmfpakhfpfapeddigbl/related

that is from 2 weeks ago and doesnt have Jay, pangea or a working SuperNET API, but it shows the one click install works. on all OS with chrome

there is also good chance that making a special build will make it work on android and even iOs, but that is not confirmed yet.

The magic here is that 100,000+ lines of C is running as JS, so any HTML can be out on top of the SuperNET core.

I have been thinking about the same and have a friend who is Java dev looking at this. (I have been working on the App together with James who did the great NaCl porting)

To be honest google Chrome Apps are not yet very well documented (they have somehow covered anything somewhere but the structure is not very well placed yet and the videos they make are kinda horrible). Seems like most of it came from 2013 and it kicked off nicely and they make slowly progress with very great outcome. So it allows to have SuperNET (as C based) to be available as an App, which is awesome.

Yet, it is strongly sandboxed (what adds a great security). So including Jay will need a bunch of tests and in the end straight setup which we need to test within the next weeks. (this enables all Nxt functions with connecting to public nodes but not being a Nxt host within the App)
The problem is that every IP you connect to needs to be defined. The google App wants to know (and it is public to the user for security reasons) where you get your data from.
I cannot yet say if it is possible to have Nxt running in such an App. Also the Blockchain is another issue, you would either need to have a centralized point of download (which makes it centralized and we would want to find decentralized solutions) or use the "slow" peer-to-peer approach again. Then instead of finding a solution to the App approach, Nxt itself is simple enough to install for itself and we would not need an App...

InstantDEX and peggy are getting quotes from external websites, this problem is not a problem. We are working out the details of allowing the C code to make Jay requests, which would allow for all the lite wallet usage of NXT from the chrome app.

I do have all the bitcoin and curve25519 encryption code in C code though, so if needed I will be able to do all the crypto calcs in the C code

This is what I already though might solve the problem as I saw your supernet code making requests that have not been written in the manifest json. Very nice that this is possible, I am looking forward to it! :)

No revenues from other assets yet (some of which are quite dead?), and no new asset dividends from NXTventure for a while.
