I made a withdrawal about 0.2 BTC (transaction 6819909642450271047) 2.5 hours ago. I used NRS 1.2.5 and MGW 1.4.1 - how long will it take to be processed? Especially since I read the following post:

MGW is back up and caught up

Please wait a little bit more for latest mgw release, those who use old version of mgw will have hard time withdrawing to their wallet

My withdrawal isn't in your list. token from my nxt account ofsv8ggac4hue59qtejd2id6hh2na6h3cm20esr6r47coau7cktqa0u83nm02to156pflvosbbhg8v46fmhku9ij107fpo0ih1gdsu34o75gdg3dhso65k57s8eo24iguamab9qnvgp00dqfbeua0kg3h6o36fd4

Hope you can proceed the withdrawal.

Guys, I can't get the MGW too show up in my NXT wallet.

I downloaded the extension, unzipped it, copied it over the files in the "ui" folder, but it doesn't show up...
I'm running 1.2.6 (which has been upgraded all the way from 1.1.6 to 1.2.5)

Which browser are you using? I had a similar problem yesterday with Chromium in Ubuntu, while the UI appears fine in Firefox.

It didn't show up the first time, it's Firefox btw and now it does... Weird one.

Uhm, did I just make do something stupid? I'm generating an address and it asked for my passphrase, so I instinctively pasted my main passphrase.

There's no other passphrase, no worries. You need to sign the transaction same as any other, unless you asked the UI to save it for the session, you'll need to enter your passphrase again as usual.

without txid I cant look anything up

It eventually went through. What could be causing these delays if the system is automated? Will this be an issue in production?

how long did you have to wait?
I never claimed MGW was a realtime system
sometimes MGW server detects a fork and aborts and is restarted. The restart time can add 30 minutes to any tx.
If during one server's restart another server aborts and restarts, then this chain of delays can last a while
production servers cannot eliminate forks
we are seeing "stormy waters" due to recent hardfork, at least that is my guess. Prior to that things were much smoother
212/359 are on latest version, though most on 1.2.5+ and things have been much better

If the delays are too long, there is always bter or cryptsy

I'm sorry I didn't mean to come off as upset or complaining. I'm just trying to get a feel for how the system is supposed to work. I wouldn't care if it was 10 confirmations, it just seems very inconsistent which leads to a lot of confusion. I'm trying to get an understanding of what causes such delays and whether or not they would continue to be frequent after the move to production and mass usage. Thanks for the info.

We can do what the airlines do. It used to be that flights were always late and people complained a lot, so they just added 30 minutes to 1 hour to the flight times. Now they are usually ahead of schedule and people complain much less.

So, MGW flight times will be 40 NXT blocks or 10 BTC blocks or an hour whichever is longer from now on :)

James

P.S. when things are active, I am seeing a withdraw processed every 30 minutes to an hour, plus recently I made a change to help MGW servers converge faster. For deposits there is only limited by each coin's blockchain so scaling up should not be an issue

16772253925511622116 xfers .2996 mgwBTC so now MGW balance is:

get_confirmed_deposits BTC returns 364 156.90044234 vs assets 156.67904835 diff 0.22139399
BTC height.317335 of 317338 max 2.69000000 min 0.00005624 median 1.34502812 |unspent 156.90044234

The max acct is now less than 2% of the total, so this is good to see. After a big deposit comes in, it gets chipped away until it is no longer the biggest anymore.

get_confirmed_deposits BTCD returns 36 4396.09146853 vs assets 4396.09110000 diff 0.00036853
 BTCD height.77030 of 77048 max 435.00000000 min 0.00060000 median 217.50030000 |unspent 4396.09146853

max acct size is ~10% of total, which is on the high side, but is due to the relative newness of mgwBTCD, over time it should end up where BTC is

@GQM - The MGW accounts have plenty of available assets now, so the delay is not due to that reason. What is your Nxt account?

PS: Where can I see what MGW version I have installed?

We need to have that displayed visibly in the Multigateway UI page. At this moment, it's simple: if the coin forms you have available are BTC and BTCD, you are using 1.4.4. Otherwise, you need to update (I know you don't need to update - just talking figuratively for whoever wonders the same thing :) )
NXT-LQTE-D82C-VKU4-FEPFB

Ok, I see that now.

You did a withdraw today for 2.13 BTC which I understand has been received - https://nxtblocks.info/#section/txid/8357083131485745832

And you got this deposit confirmation AM - https://nxtblocks.info/#section/txid/13391475952572548176

but still haven't received the 3.92332515 mgwBTC. I think James will have to check this out.
Precisely
this time other nodes are seeing it!
txid 14502913961899536538
Yes sorry. It was a long night and I ended up passing out. I have recieved the BTC assets.

Thanks for your help and it's good that we are using this system the more bugs we can report the better the MGW will become.

Hello there,

I did a mistake in sending back some mgwBTC->BTC with 1.2.6 on 1.4.1 MGW...

I tested it with a little .0015 btc worth(did two transactions one was .0005 and one was .001)

It's been around 2 hours or so since the transaction and still haven't received the processing...

Hash of the .001 btc transaction is 63b286842f6f1817487a2a6ddf242d6fec90dd547f2f10711d550868a82bf12c with TX ID: 1664202312190964323 sent to Gateway Account: NXT-JXRD-GKMR-WD9Y-83CK7

Hopefully something can be done :) If not, at least it was just a test amount :P

Also good work James on all your work done with NXT :)

I remember when the MGW was just a dream to get done(along with DGS, etc)... way back in late '13-'14.Deciding on ways to get people to forge *cough*nodecoin*cough* :)

You have done good work for the NXT community.
