Unless someone will provide insurance against MGW losses I will keep it offline until any chance of a rollback is gone

Is the technical fix not to just prevent funds from being able to move out of the thiefs account. There will be no roll back. by forging 1.2.5d.
can you guarantee this?
are you 100% sure this "technical fix" wont have some interaction bug and cause some unexpected things to happen? I doubt supporting this was designed into NXT, so whatever this technical fix is was made under duress and as a coder I can easily imagine some bugs.

but if you are willing to compensate for any losses caused by the "technical fix" I can restart the MGW servers until DGS block

at least they are safe. I just have no idea what would happen if this surgical rollback becomes the main chain. When in doubt, stop. When the dust settles things will resume.

Since MGW uses the various blockchains as its database, any chance that this data will be invalidated makes my suspension the prudent course of action. I am sorry about the delay this causes you and I hope you can understand

That's understandable. Is it possible to get the nxt asset credited back to my account in the mean time?

How urgently do you need this? Theoretically I can spend the day figuring out how to undo a withdraw tx without breaking things, and then code it and then try to test it and then deploy it and hope it works.

Without even knowing what happens at DGS block, I am not sure what to do

Don't worry. If it's not a simple thing to do then I can wait it out.

Hello NXTSurfer,

I'm moving your request to the MGW user support thread. Automatic withdrawal processing has been paused in the light of recent events and changes in the Nxt core, and we expect it to be able to resume soon.

Regardless, your coins are safe. Just please have patience, apologies for the inconvenience.

All three MGW servers have caught up with NXT blockchain, so any pending deposit address requests should have gone out via AM.

They are 2000 to 10000 BTC blocks away from catching up (its slow as I reset the cache), but another 10 minutes and you should start seeing the pending deposits appear in AE.

Then it will take ~30 minutes for the batchwithdraw to go out to catch up on all the pending withdraws.

Thanks! Just curious,  how feasible would it be to run all three servers as tor hidden services in order to prevent hackers from knowing the location of any of them?

the IP address of the MGW servers are not public, the only contact is via AM and asset xfer
granted my dev servers have published IP addrs, but I am not planning to run my dev servers as MGW servers for much longer

LTC is all caught up and balanced:
get_confirmed_deposits LTC returns 41 16.24341827 vs assets 16.24340000 diff 0.00001827

I just saw a bunch of BTC asset xfers and a batch withdraw, so I think things are very close to caught up.

If your MGW tx is not arriving, plz post txid and I will look into it, but not for 12 hours or so. about to go offline. too much stress

MGW is in balance now:
get_confirmed_deposits BTC returns 249 108.94311256 vs assets 108.53611256 diff 0.40700000

There is one asset xfer of 0.407 mgwBTC pending, so it is matching to the satoshi.

Here is an interesting breakdown:
maxtime.22884582 BTC height.315888 of 315891 max 6.38458836 min 0.00005624 median 3.19232230 |unspent 108.94311256

The largest MGW deposit acct has 6.38 BTC, so <6% of the total. It will be nice to see this 6 BTC get smaller and smaller as each batch withdraw chips away at it. With a couple hundred accts, the ideal would be half BTC in each, but that will take quite some number of withdraws and I am not sure the current algo will properly converge to this.

Even at 6%, this is a much smaller target than a single acct and with it getting smaller and smaller and being stuck in a hard to access multisig acct, I think it is not such an attractive target. I guess I could just code up something that breaks up any large account into little pieces if the clumping doesnt get smoothed out on its own, its just that dealing with multisig is such a painful thing, I'd rather be changing API syntax or maintain servers :)
