I downloaded the one-click installer MGW Lite from the multigateway site. It installs NRS and itself into c:\nxt. I execute run.bat and NRS starts, I open the wallet on localhost:7876 but I never the the MGW menu there. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: Please try again. I found a possible problem in some Windows versions and I've re-uploaded the Windows installer with the corresponding fix.

It works now, thanks!

I think all the servers are running fine now. Just saw the largest withdraw ever, of 50 BTC!
I missed the deposit that led to that, but I think this was quite a record volume and should put mgwBTC right near the top of NXT AE volume charts

Maybe I can start coding now?

Is the server back up? I'm on 7 confirmations now and I haven't been credited.

Can coinmarketcap pull data from the AE to calculate in their aggregate volume?

Maybe if http://nxtreporting.com/ has an API that they can access?

CMC should do this. Today's MGW volume was about 60 BTC total, which is about $36,000. That means the NXT trading volume they're listing is way low. It's at $160k right now, should be pushing $200k.

So how do they do it? They need access to an api that feeds the data. Someone mentioned nxtreporting might? Any who knows exactlly how want to post it over in the bitcointalk coinmarketcap thread?
they already handle NEMstake, so people just need to bug them with the asset id's they need to monitor
they are also not counting AE volumes for JLH

Yesterday I already had 10 btc confirmations before the deposit was credited, so don't worry (you can panic at 11 :-)).

I think the btc and nxt tx durations add up, we need more transparency about what is going on behind the scene, so the "normal" user won't panic on first use of the mgw.

So my client just updated to a new version and the UI has changed significantly. On top of that it removed my multigateway extension. If I try to add the extension back then my UI completely reverts back to the old UI. How do we install this extension in the updated client?

Right now, please stay with 1.1.6 to use MGW. A new release of Lite MGW for 1.2.3 1.2.4 will be here soon.

Please also pay attention, that NRS already has multilingual display. I used non english GUI for 1.2.3, after installing MGW, it became english.

Can't get the Lite client to work...

So I first copied over all the ui files into my ui folder and ran my client but nothing on the ui was different. I tried things forever and finally got down to deleting my entire UI folder yet when I run the client exe the app still functions perfectly fine. Where else could it be getting the ui content from...? I am on windows and have my client installed to the default location @ C:\Program Files (x86)\Nxt Wallet\Nxt Wallet.exe. Any ideas?

Please see this post - https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=4079.msg75934#msg75934

For people using the Nxt executable Wallet, in some of the install locations the Nxt Wallet\nxt\html\ui will be the source for GUI files (and so unzipping Lite MGW there will work) while in other install locations the source for GUI will be the C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Nxt Wallet\nxt\html\ui folder. So if unzipping inside of the installation path folder doesn't work, unzipping in this other path should work.

It looks like a user permissions question in Wesley's wallet. I asked him about it and I hope to find out soon, so we can change the setup guide for users of the exe wallet accurately.

It should always be AppData directory. Maybe not if you use some ancient version of the wallet app. The only other time putting it in the program files directory works is if you have installed the 1 click client and haven't yet opened it for the first time.

AFAIK the program files folder will be used instead of AppData if you run the exe as an administrator.

Yep, I noticed something similar. In summary:

In the first run, Nxt Wallet.exe will create the \[username]\AppData\Local\Nxt Wallet folder and copy there the entire folder structure from the install location. The blockchain folder is also created under \AppData\Local\Nxt Wallet\nxt.

So if you unzip Lite MGW in the nxt\html\ui folder before running Nxt Wallet for the first time, the extension will be also copied to the AppData work path and the user will see it in the Wallet. But to install Lite MGW in Wesley's exe wallet once it's been already run, you have to unzip it in \Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Nxt Wallet\nxt\html\ui.

That might explain a few issues I've been having.
It would be great to have a one-click install version of Wesley's client with MGW included. It would make things a lot simpler.

EDIT: never mind, just went through.

No rush, of course, but when it's ready then it would be great to have the option.

So I'm finally getting around to trying the MGW  ;D
I went through the tutorial, got a mgwBTC Deposit Address, and sent 0.01 BTC to it.  It's been over 6 confirmations now, but it still shows 0 mgwBTC.
I do see a transaction right when there were 6 confirmations saying something like:
úîÛº/ëvxgtAÅbd{"coinid":1,"vout":0,"timestamp":22649329,"coinaddr"....

The message actually goes off the screen (wesley may want to look into that).

Be a bit more patient. Many people are reporting reporting that they have to wait for 10 confirmations.

Support thread here: https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/multigateway-user-support-thread/80/

Thank you.  I'm in no rush, I just want to make sure I didn't miss something.
It is at 10 confirmations now:
https://blockchain.info/tx/e8cc2b76b7858a854ac8dfd716d4d4cabd2a7f734e2f8756f39826f03056f6d6
but still 0 mgwBTC

Edit: It has arrived now.  It took 11 confirmations :)
