The first of the pending BTCD deposits have been processed. I refactored the MGW code and then ported it into SuperNET. It has to build a helper database of the coin and this takes quite a while, but once it has caught up, then the deposit side of MGW is blazing fast.

about 2 minutes to process 6+ months of activity, after than less than a minute to generate a list of pending deposits that need to be made. You need to fiddle a bit with the SuperNET.conf file to get it to work right and it is still highly experimental and only in the libjl777 branch, but the following command processed and sends out MGW deposits:

curl -k --data-binary '{"jsonrpc": "1.0", "id":"curltest", "method": "SuperNET", "params": ["{\"requestType\":\"MGWdeposits\",\"specialNXT\":\"7117166754336896747\",\"transferassets\":\"1\",\"coin\":\"BTCD\",\"asset\":\"11060861818140490423\",\"NXT0\":\"423766016895692955\",\"NXT1\":\"12240549928875772593\",\"NXT2\":\"8279528579993996036\"}"]  }' -H 'content-type: text/plain;' https://127.0.0.1:7777/

The "transferassets" field would be the "rescan" field the first time, then making sure the deposits make sense, you do a transferassets and this updates the blockchain.

Now I can do the much trickier withdraw side.

James

P.S. With MGW ported into the SuperNET codebase, it allows its functionality to be accessed by other parts of SuperNET and most importantly I wont have two source bases that are a lot the same, but yet different in details. I was losing too much time switching back and forth between the two code bases.

Oh, and for people who haven't heard the news: use the NEW multigateway and the NEW mgwBTC asset http://multigateway.org/

https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/multigateway-production-servers-online-with-supernet-release/

Oh crap, I deposited to an address generated by 'old' MGW system about 24 hours ago, and have not recieved any asset (new or old). I've used it multiple times before, and just assumed it would work as usual.

Is it a normal delay, or have I just sent my btc to /dev/null ?

hi guys- here is a sort of obvious noob question:

if I hold some NXT and I want to invest in BTCD, but I don't want to go through BTer to sell my NXT for BTC first, and then buy BTCD-

what I could do is just buy mgwBTCD with my NXT, and later either sell them for NXT again, or exchange them for BTCD via MGW, am I right?

(and also be aware of the apparently fake mgwBTCD asset out there)

Yup. That's exactly it.
Only thing is that BTCD has quite a high spread at the moment, unfortunately (otherwise I'd have picked some more up myself).

BTCD MGW is offline for now. I am transitioning to DB based MGW. I have to regenerated the DB before I can process deposits again. Once I have the updated DB, I can manually recalculate the pending deposits in about 2 minutes, so just need to wait for the blockchain to reprocess.

For withdraw, I still need to do some significant work, so probably no withdraws until this weekend. After this revamp, MGW will become much, much, much faster.

I recieved the Doge. But I am still waiting for Blackcoin assets.  :(

Thanks for your reply. Hope the problem can be fixed soon.

Also still waiting for my Dogecoin and Blackcoin deposits  :-[

I cannot find the outputs of the those transfers in the status page for Starbuck (cluster operating DOGE, BC and VIA), so the deposits arrived but they haven't been processed. Pointing here Starbuck operators so they can check and push the assets if necessary.

Your deposit was 2.2832 BC, and as you can see in the Multigateway UI, the minimum deposit for BC is 4.

Whenever you do another deposit to the same address and the total exceeds that minimum of 4, assets should be delivered.

I am converting BTCD servers to the DB MGW, so they are offline for a bit longer. Address generation is the last part that I have not debugged yet. I will post when it is working

The last SuperNET release should probably have removed temporarily BTCD, since as James said it is under maintenance and still in development servers. We're waiting for production servers operators to finish setting up BTCD so we can add it, hopefully they will be almost finished. Then you will be able to generate a deposit address directly in production servers.

What is the status on the MGW update? I am looking to withdraw some BTC and I am wondering how long it would take right now?

Production servers have been working pretty smoothly these last days. At worst it might take a few hours if you withdraw in a server restart bump.

Just a suggestion:

Why not create a lil web-based "dashboard" that displays the status of the MGW servers?  I hate waiting hours for an MGW withdrawal to go through, wondering if the servers are up or not.

It would ALSO be nice to be able to get an "automated" status of a pending withdrawal -- saves posting to ask how the servers are doing.

So -- how are the servers doing?  ;)
