So I finaly tryed the Multigateway!
I was very suprised at how nice the UI was, espacualy I  loved the tutorial, that was just awesome!

Yeah! The 'tutorial' was a pleasant experience!

Just one thing is horribal, why the hach are BTC withdrawls taking ages to process?! My first withdraw on the two days ago, took like 6,5 hours until it hit the BTC blockchain.
My second withdraw from yesterday, is already taking 8+ hours ...and still nothing on the blockchain.

Why are they taking that long, isn't it a automatic process?

As I understand, the BTC Multigateway is still running on jl777's development servers, and sometimes they have issues which jl777 then has to correct manually. So strictly speaking it's still in beta. They're busy migrating the BTC Multigateway to production servers. You could ask Vanbreuk about the status of that process I think.

recently the NXT process seems to just get stuck on a block and I dont notice for a while
been quite busy testing new versions of SuperNET, so it could be hours.
As I said, I am operating MGW on "dgex response times", not a realtime service yet
when it is on dedicated production servers, should be hourly for withdraws and less for deposits

the servers are going very slow due to low memory caused by my testing, so just have to be patient. not sure how long but it wont be fast

As I understand, the BTC Multigateway is still running on jl777's development servers, and sometimes they have issues which jl777 then has to correct manually. Well looking forword to that...
Right now its a bit of a setback for MGW to take that long for sending btc. I think when this is fixed and withdraws work within  5-10 min, we will see way higher volume on there

I guess we have to arm ourselves with lots of patience while system servers get ironed out and function as expected ...
Unfortunately this is bad publicity for such an awesome technology

So today I made a withdraw...and am happy to report that it only took halve an hour to hit the Bitcoin Blockchain

We have made the first BTC deposits and withdrawals in the Multigateway production servers processing time has been 45-60 minutes in both cases. So we hope these times around the hour mark will be the norm. Almost ready...

the faster you accept a tx, the greater the chance it isnt real

So its actually not 4 confirmations untill a transaction is geting processed, but rather 40 confirmations?
If its that, then that would be a logical reason for the 45-60min

bitcoin averages 10 minutes per confirmation, up to an hour is actually somewhat common. like a 6 minute block for NXT.
I think most NXT peoples forget how painfully slow bitcoin is

Great progress! Sometimes I feel like I have spent whole day on exchanges with only a little btc and his clones.

How is MGW planed for the future? Now when some production MGW servers are running, will be there more servers and if the production servers will be offline, the new ones will work seamlessly?

Or if some big player will not trust other servers running 24/7 then he will make some own and will be sure that MGW will never stop working?

As far as I know, the MGW code was built with scalability in mind so it could be made to work with a larger pool of servers. So in theory it is possible, although it would require to be developed. Also, when phasing comes to the Nxt blockchain there will be several possible enhancements. This is why need to find a dev that can put focus on MGW coding in the near future. James is always there for critical interventions, but he will hardly have time to develop MGW.

For the coming production servers, the server specs have improved. Frohike is enhancing security, Anton (server admin working with Coinomat) has added a modification to automatically respawn the MGW daemon in case of software crash, and there's other monitoring features in the to-do list. So there are improvements in the short term, and I hope we'll find the way to have continuous development.
