I do...
Because I know it's in beta, I try to check the status first on the website. Not even sure if the site is up-to-date though.

I try to keep it always up-to-date, as accurately as status allows... at most a few hours of delay to publish changes.

I will catch up the BTCD MGW, then take it offline again to restart the BTC MGW

Ok, longzai is working to get out a new version of NxtServices based on 1.3.1 soon. Hopefully the dividends+ modules will work without changes. If anything is not working, I won't be able to work on it this weekend, so I'll fix on Mon/Tuesday.

Just wanted to report that I have upgraded to 1.2.9 and done 2 dividend distributions which went out flawlessly.

lmmjvsd, can you please describe in detail what problems you are having.

Normal procedure is that after upgrading the client to 1.2.9 you will need to copy the ui folder (plugin from multigateway site)

It no longer appears in the new version of the client (1.2.9).

Just installed MGW plugin, looks amazing James! I'm really impressed.

Requested a bitcoin deposit address but after 1 hour, 60 blocks or so, did not appear yet.

I received the deposit btc address, but not within hours, only the next day when I clicked the button again.

I deposited an amount below 1 btc and that appeared quickly after 4 confirmations or so.

But I just deposited a larger amount and it is now 8 confirmations and no MGWBTC asset appeared yet.

Is this an automatic process? If only for small amounts, starting what amount is it not automatic?

I received the mgwBTC, but it took some time.
For me it's not an automated process, you have to trust MGW, it takes +/- 24 hours.
I suppose that MGW is just a temporary procedure, is ATOMIC not the new and better solution / DAO.

Yeah, I've been waiting the whole day now too

It says in the manual that a deposit shows up after 7 confirmations while in practice you are waiting 12 hours and counting, really annoying.

Please change manual so that one does not get wrong expectations. Mention there which amounts are automatic and which you have to wait till processed manually.


I'm now busy/waiting about 32 hours to get started with MGW. First a few hours to get the plugin installed, then 12 hours to get a btc address generated (tip: just click button again if btc address does not show up after an hour), now another 12 hours to get the deposit confirmed.

I'm very impressed with MGW, it's like magic being able to trade btc/nxt in NXT client, but can't promote this to others yet due to all the waiting.

MGW is not really being supported at the moment. It's in a transition phase. It was supposed to be transferred to production servers but that process seems to be taking forever. I think most users have stopped using the MGW for the present given its status.

When a MGW triplet is up and running, the process is automated and the required number of confirmations approaches the data in the documentation. Besides other possible issues that might delay transaction processing (like updates in Nxt Client/MGW plugin as they happen), the current MGW response times are this long because BTC is still running in development servers, and for some time James has been able to take care of emergency maintenance only. We're thankful for that, but it inevitably slows down the service.

Frohike, Abuelau and Coinomat have production servers running and service is being tested. I really hope that testing will be finished soon, we need to move on and leave this limbo ASAP.

If the MGW is down for BTC then the website needs to be changed because currently it says that BTC is working.
