What's the ETA on the mgwBTC servers syncing and withdrawals getting processed?

I just had a test run and it almost worked, but wasnt quite right. also one person had made three withdraws to an expired address so I restarted and put his withdraws in limbo. This way it wont go into real limbo and I can manually get him BTC.

I sure am hoping this run will be the one that works. It just takes a long time each try, but I am hopeful that it will work this iteration or the next

James

tl:dr in some few hours I hope to see withdraws start going out

Things are working with smaller number of tx, but something is overflowing when there are a lot of withdraws and of course there are a lot of withdraws.

I am running a new test that will run much faster so I can verify that it wont crash, then I will run the full dataset, which unfortunately takes very long now due to server thrashing and old slow non-SSD hard drives.

I hope that while I am offline it will catch up and process, but I only give it 50/50 chance, it has just been a never ending struggle. I had to redo a multi-hour test when I lost connection just at the critical time, etc.

Anyway, I am really sorry for all the delays. I am trying, but only so much I can do when the bottleneck is the server hardware and I am leery to upgrade the hardware just so the tests go faster.

So, do you have your own caching/messaging system? Have you considered something like rabbitMQ?

I would be happy to set up an VPS system on Azure for you if you want. I have monthly dev credits there that I'm not really using.

i've had a couple of tx's stuck as well. BTCD has gone through, this one is still out there: https://nxtblocks.info/#section/txid/18149337157026962034

Not in any hurry myself, and seeing that this is work in progress, i can patiently wait it out.

I think I finally found the bug. It was due to an array that allocated for the number of inputs instead of outputs,  I used to have them the same size, but due to out of memory, I changed the max outputs and with all the inputs needed to fund all the outputs, well it overflowed the misallocated array

very stupid silly cut and paste bug :(

So, over next hours we should start seeing the withdraws, at least there is much more than 50/50 chance now.

The good news is that this created a real world test case that otherwise could have taken many months to happen in production and much better to have MGW offline now during the beta test period than months in the future.

Now there is a limit to 32 withdraws at a time, but usually there are much less, so this shouldnt be a real problem. It also solves the issue of overflowing the arrays for when there are too many tx.

I am starting to suspect hardware problems. Identical code on all three machines and 2 of the three are fine, but the third one segfaults when it was 95% done :(

I see a few deposits processed from the 2 that are caught up and they are both 100% in sync, so I will have to babysit the lagging server for another round.

Still waiting on 2 rather large mgwbtc withdrawals made on 29th. Not urgent, just looking to hear that all funds are safe.
the funds are safe

one of the servers keeps crashing...
I am doing a test run with just BTCD to make sure the MGW software is still happy.
after that I will try a version that doesnt use the cache, to minimize use of the HDD
