x2 issues on Mac... still not working

1) Zip file contains corrupt/unreadable font file causing default mac archive utility to stop with errors (see below)
2) manually loading files into /nxt/html/ui (NXT wallet) still does not work
ie. NXT Services still not appearing in sidebar (tested in Chrome, Safari & Firefox)...not sure if this is still to do with zip file issue.

From Multigateway Starting Giveaway Thread

Quote
Have downloaded x3 times on x3 separate macs from multigateway site link, all running latest OSX 10.9.4.
Have used the default MAC OS archive utility and terminal (as super user) all return same error. Not a permissions issue, checked.

I'll try a third party zip utility to see if that makes a difference.

command line...

bash-3.2# unzip /Users/xxxx/Downloads/MGW_ui_lite_BETA_v1.2.zip
Archive:  /Users/xxxx/Downloads/MGW_ui_lite_BETA_v1.2.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found.  Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive.  In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip:  cannot find zipfile directory in one of /Users/xxxx/Downloads/MGW_ui_lite_BETA_v1.2.zip or
/Users/andrew/Downloads/MGW_ui_lite_BETA_v1.2.zip.zip, and cannot find /Users/xxxx/Downloads/MGW_ui_lite_BETA_v1.2.zip.ZIP, period.
bash-3.2#

--------

Tried x2 3rd party utilities and also downloaded fresh copies from within Chrome, Firefox and safari.

- Ziped reports zip files are corrupt
- The Unarchiver reports "the archive file is incomplete"

Don't have problems with any other zip files, only this one.

--------

I have managed to push through the errors and extract what I can... admin.html, alias.html, fonts and css (not sure if anything is missing). Will try it out later today after work.

Wondering if any other mac users encountered the same issue? Unusual to get same error on 3 different computers.

Cheers

--------

Found the offending file... "fonts/ionicons.woff"
This file is either corrupt or unreadable causing default mac archive utility to fail (ionicons.woff = zero bytes)
For the average mac user, they won't be able to unzip.

hope this helps.

zimbakin, arenko - please download Multigateway Lite again from the software downloads website section. There's been a server migration this weekend and apparently some of the hosted files (particularly the downloads) were not properly moved.

I've re-uploaded and checked both the Windows Installer and the standalone MGW Lite Extension for Win/Mac/Linux. They work fine now.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Please try unzipping in C:\Users\[YOUR_USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Nxt Wallet\nxt\html\ui.

Unzipping Lite MGW in the Nxt Wallet install location Nxt Wallet/nxt/html/ui works in some cases, apparently depending on where you installed the Nxt Wallet in the first place. It might be a permissions issue, not sure yet about when override happens. So if one path doesn't work, the other will.

I'm moving your post and this reply to the MGW customer support thread.

Thanks for reporting :)

Withdrew 2 BTC from MGW but they were just gone :) Did not reach the destination. What should you do in such cases?

How long have you been waiting?

If you check in your transactions in the Nxt client, and click on the transaction corresponding to the MGW withdrawal, you'll see some information in the Comments field. One field is "cointxid". That's the Bitcoin transaction hash. You can post it here if you want, and check its status in http://blockchain.info

I changed ISP so hopefully it will be more reliable.
MGW servers restarting, all pending tx should automatically get processed

Confirming also, now working in OSX 10.9.4, Custom NXT install location.
Tested in Chrome (incognito), Tor, Safari and Firefox - all current versions and all working.

BTW, no inconvenience at all, a great addition and we're here to help.

Thx.

I mistakenly pushed a bad version of MGW servers. Just a single line that got pasted in the wrong place and in the middle of debugging two different projects, it appears some peoples got some previously received LTC withdraws again.

I have replenish the balances to make sure anybody with LTC deposits has 100% coverage.

No obligation to do so, as this was totally my goof, but if you see an unexpected LTC deposit in your litecoin wallet, you could send a matching amount of mgwLTC assets to genesis acct NXT-MRCC-2YLS-8M54-3CMAJ  That will ease my pain.

Thanks.

Hi,

How long do withdrawals take?

Did one an hour ago (BTC), still not showing ! Should a latency be expected?

Everythin worked well apart from this.

Hi alex0909, withdrawals are expected to arrive after 3/4 bitcoin confirmations, but as James observed before, 5 can happen, 6 is unlikely but still possible.

when trying to generate a btc deposit address i get the error "redeemtxid not found. Something wrong with Nxt NRS server"

This might be a GUI issue. Please check if this post is helpful.

For those of you losing sleep worrying about my dumping the unbound assets onto the mgwBTC and mgwLTC orderbooks, you dont have to worry about that anymore!

anon136 has graciously volunteered to be keeper of the unbound assets. So, if the MGW server run low, make sure to let him know and he will replenish. I just sent 20 million+ mgwBTC 3039824158801185747 and 80 million+ mgwLTC 8729570878548688448, so now anon136 has all that plus all the world's silver!

James

P.S. I kept 10 mgwBTC and 100 mgwLTC in case I needed some for debugging, so you can still worry and fret over that if you want :)

One of the servers detected it was on a fork and took defensive measures and exited. I have restarted and I think it has processed the withdraw. If you have redeemtxid I can verify
