Graphs, charts and infographics by Audo
« on: August 26, 2015, 01:07:21 pm »

- - - Introduction - - -

Studying the NXT/SuperNET ecosystem is fascinating. At the same time I try to teach myself how to create infographics using Inkscape. After combining those two this thread was born.

When I create something new I'll put it here. All the things here can be freely used elsewhere. Hopefully some of the charts help others to gasp the scale of the project and make intelligent investment decisions :)

Right now the images are created using libreoffice, but I'll try to make more pretty ones with Inkscape at some point.

The information may not be 100% accurate. It is based on the SuperNET newsletters / forum threads. If you find mistakes or something that is not up to date just reply here and I will update it for the next version.

It is a great start. better than anything else I have seen. still missing many assets, but the majority is there
since it said draft, I didnt analyze in details. but when it is a proposed final i will
and then we can have it turned into a less 2D chart but more a 3D graphic, but first step is to get the details right

It reminded me of a swiss watch with all the different gears and things I dont even know what it is or how the watch can convert spring tension into amazingly accurate clock ticks, but it works.

SuperNET is complex and I think to try to simplify it is maybe not possible, so why not to make its complexity an advantage

I made some updates to the dividend flow chart, it's now v0.2.

For the next version I'll research the individual NXT addresses to see exactly who owns and what. I took a little peek today, and almost got confused. Seems like many assets own way too many assets... ;)

I heard the SkyNET has a really central place when it comes to the revenue flow. I haven't seen too much information or any exact numbers about it anywhere. I was told that everything is not even fully decided yet. Maybe I'll see some light after I do some deeper research.

The main update were to the SuperNET's revenue flows. If those are old information, let me know.

I have a couple of questions:

Q1: I'm not sure what "x2 funds" are, where 5 % of SuperNET's revenue is supposed to go. Would be nice to know more! :)

Q2: Is 5 % of the SuperNET revenue still unallocated?

To me it looks like everything adds up:
 - 50 % of rev. to SuperNET asset holders as dividends
 - 50 % of rev. to other places (the purple boxes in the chart)

Awesome work, Audo!

Q1:
SNx2 was created to pay the CPMT (Centralised Product Management Team) + RL expenses.

James:
Quote
I would like to create a SuperNET backed asset that is 1:1 convertible for SuperNET on demand. Additionally, it would receive the previously unallocated 5% SuperNET revshare. By using the 5% of assets for the missed bonus, this 5% revshare will make this asset receive double the SuperNET dividends, so when dividend valuations dominate the pricing, it will be worth 2x SuperNET. With the backing of 1 SuperNET, it is worth at least 1 SuperNET. Market price is expected to fluctuate between 1x and 2x SuperNET pricing and provides a barometer as to the market's sentiment as to how large a part of the market price is based on future dividends. If the market assessment is zero, it will trade at 1x, if the market assessment is that SuperNET dividends are the dominant valuation factor, it will trade very nearly at 2x.

This asset will not be dividended out, but rather earned. The v1 dev team is hampered by the need for real world expenses, eg. RL. So if SuperNET is to have a reliable release process, it needs to properly fund such a group. By using a SuperNETx2 asset as payment, it will reduce selling pressure on SuperNET as it is redeemable at 1x, but could be worth up to 2x, so only people who are desperately needing SuperNET to BTC/NXT would ever sell it. I expect there to be an immediate market for this, so people could just directly sell their SuperNETx2 and since the secondary market will most likely be above SuperNET price (otherwise they can just redeem).

Q2:
The 5% is hodled by SuperNET, and will be paid as a bonus to James IF the following condition is met:
A tenfold increase in SuperNET market cap by the end of 2015.

The 5% will go to SuperNET working capital if 10x is NOT achieved by year end 2015. More: http://nxter.org/supernet-newsletter-1/

Dividend flow chart updated to version 0.4. It's now made using vector craphics.

- CORE is missing all its assets (will be updatet for the next version)
- There are some other notable projects in the NXT ecosystem, which are not listed in the chart. I'll add them later, somehow.
- I found some mistakes from my earlier version, this might have some too. I'll have to double check everything after I think it's finished.

edit:I think nxtventure holds 7.5% pangea  "There is a total of 1 million Pangea assets. At 7.5% for both NXTventure and SuperNET holders"

In the SuperNET revenues, there are two times: "5% of revenue to viral marketing campaign"

Source: http://wiki.supernet.org/wiki/Pangea  ;)

I think that means that 7.5 % were paid as dividend, or then it's just outdated information. I have been trying to locate the NXT address of every asset, and see the holdings in real time.

Here is the NXTventure address and it doesn't have Pangea: NXT-XRK4-5HYK-5965-9FH4Z

Thanks for the feedback anyway!

Fundamentally 80 % of the info in the chart is taken from the NXT addresses directly. The rest is taken from SuperNET newsletters and other sources. If those sources contradict, I conclude that the written one is outdated and the blockchain has the latest info.

A lot of the assets hold very small quantities of other assets. I have a separate file where I have marked up what I have included and what I have not included.

The flowchart is getting complex... way too complex in my opinion. I think I will try to come up with some filtering rules and simplify it. We could have multible version of course.

For example: Assets are connected with an arrow only if
 - the asset owns more than 1 % of another asset
 - the ownership is worth more than X NXT

If/when this tree is put to a website, it could
phase 1) When mouse hovers over an asset, hide or fade the assets that are not directly connected. This should probably be a simplified map that shows only the major rev./overship arrows
phase 2) When an asset is clicked, open a more detailed view to a new window (on top of the old window). That view would show in detail everything the asset owns and other relevant information.

I haven't been thinking too much how this should be represented in a website. It's little hard for me to know what is possible, what is not possible, and how feasible something is. I imagine the phase 1 could be done pretty easily and the phase 2 could be added later.

Ops! You are right :D

The other one should say "5 % of revenue to NXT core development".

I'll fix it to the next version, thanks!

What's the status of ATOMIC, as it's on your chart?
Isn't it dead?

and there's a duplicate "5% of revenue to viral marketing campaign" from SuperNet

Hello,

Yes, the version here is outdated. I already have a new, better version. But I didnt publish it yet, as I wanted all the core coin holdings to be accurate (and Im missing one). I should definitely put a date on those graphics.

I'll publish the new version in a few days.

Ye, Atomic is a dead project as far as I know. Although I assume there is some code done, and could have a small change that someone continues it. At least James has a plan for atomic swaps in his long term vision, but of course he might just code a totally different solution. In conclusion, yes I should remove that Atomic asset, so nobody buys it.

That duplicate mistake was reported ages ago, but I forgot to update it  :-[
