You already posted a great name: "catchy"

("many years of programming experience in scala, haskell and catchy" -> I would totally hire that guy)

I like Catchy because it is pronounceable.

SCL perhaps?

Smart Contract Language or Simple Contract Language

I like SCL as it appears professional and standardized (btw. that would be perfect for companies as they like to learn HTML, SQL, XML, etc.)

Btw. we should avoid reference to Nxt in order to increase adoption/interoperability elsewhere. That is why i voted for the two above.

I like SCL, close to SQL and no references to NXT, so it sounds more neutral

SCL is very good, but a little too close to SQL for my taste.

What's with SSCL?

"Simple" is not a good word here coz final goal of such the language is creation of hypercontracts that include smart contracts.

I like the inclusion of "Smart Contract", in the name corner the market early  ;D

Bob's Boss: "So will you prepare the Smart Contracts by Friday?"
Bob: "Yes, I'll be starting them in [NotSSCL] tomorrow."
Bob's Boss: "Why don't you just use that simple language for smart contacts?"
Bob: "Simple Smart Contract Language?"
Bob's Boss: "Yeah, that's what I said. Use that instead "

Then we need another first letter :-)

We also can consider two ancient gods of contracts:

1) Hermes - Greek god of commerce and contracts - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermes
2) Sangus - Roman god of commerce and contracts - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sancus

I personally like the n-prefix idea.

Or maybe just call the language n. And the feature in nxt that uses it nSmart?

As it will somewhat look like SQL, that should be no problem at all. :D

My proposal:

Blueprint

Why?

http://web.archive.org/web/20140625012017/http://szabo.best.vwh.net/idea.html:
Quote
What is the meaning and purpose of "security"? How does it relate the the relationships we have? I argue that the formalizations of our relationships -- especially contracts -- provide the blueprint for ideal security.

Well then why did you even ask us?  :) How do you plan on making a decision?
