... idea: Perhaps a link to a stripped down version "simple text version here" which targets minimum browser requirements?  Then also e.g. lynx users, paranoid non-JS willingly, or blind people are enabled to use it. Possible to add all fancy visual elements on top of a basic page, with some JS/CSS magic?

I tried it with Safari. Working great on Chrome indeed.

Surprise surprise!

It's mac (again!!!)

I'll see if I can get browser compatibility working

Fixed it.

It wasn't as much a compatibility issue as it was a interpretation issue (of the browser).

I love the idea!

But with the current budget and the way new features are implemented (sprints), it's a bit much to keep a "text only" version running & updated simultaniously with the main site.

Technically, stripping out all JS/CSS would mean making seperate pages with submit forms for each coin and when something is updated, n * (amount of coins), pages need to be updated.

If at some point the service becomes used a lot and I have more time, budget and the feature updates are less frequest I will most certainly make one!

Happy.

My suggestion was originally born out of the browser differences reported before. But you could solve them, so no current need anymore.

And I had an older arguseyes version in mind, and that one would have possibly still been able to offer a reduced-for-the-blind HTML version, and just put all fancy new JS functions on top, for the seeing.
But I have just visited your new version - wow you are building a well streamlined UX ... very nice.

Added dogecoin (the function is there, just waiting for the blockexplorer to stop putting api access rate limits) :(

Added waves (when api/full node becomes available it will be added)

I just added dogecoin again because I found a blockexplorer that is somewhat stable.

Added dogecoin block generation notification!

Futher testing may be required to see how well the blockexplorer behaves...

Waves has been enabled for sending and receiving tokens + block generation.
Still in testing phase tho as everything is still very new

I'm trying to do this in PHP. What advice do you have to make something like this? Do I use cron to query the nxt server every second? How do I go about making an email alert system. I just want to be alerted if anything happens for a specific account.

Hey there box1413,

if it's just for you to be alerted I would go for a cron job that runs your php file....

I wouldn't run it every second but rather every 5 minutes or so and check for transactions that happened the last 24 hours (or anything like that) and keep a record of those transactions in a database/file/array.

Then, when the script is run, check every transaction of the last 24 hours and if it's new (check against database/file/array), process it and add it to that database/file/array

Box1413, keep in mind that blockchain reorganizations can happens, so until a transaction did not pass the 720 confirmations checkpoint they are in some "probabilistic state". For secretminer.com I ended up with two processes that fit with tesdruif description but one for transactions with less than 720 confs in order to be very reactive for incoming transactions (crontab every min) while having in mind that things could change and then, one after 720 in case I missed something (process downtime, bug correction..) in order to repair since then it is easier as transactions are now "graved in stone".

thanks. is there a nxt command in the command line that I can run that will output the last few transactions? some type of log file? And I would just do a tail -f on it.

How did you go about polling the nxt live transactions to send an email when an account matches?

Oh nooooo, why?

Money? Then: Can it be made into a paid subscription service? Or pay via asset? Or however, but incentivize him, to keep this running.

This is an important service, IMHO.
