CatchChallenger MMORPG

This game is a independent MMORPG, Lan game and a single player game. You have fight, farming, explore, crafting, trading, commerce, management, competition... and you are free to play in you style.

It's a pixel art game and old school game. The work is concentrated on the gameplay/performance/creativity. The income is to paid the developping and the artwork. The game is fully open source (GPL3).

The game have no real time. That's give clear advantage on 3G/wifi connexion or into the tiers world. You can play as PK, PvP, TvT.

I sell the game with nextcoin, and I will sell item in nextcoin too on market place.

What are you doing exactly? How far is the development progress? Do you want to sell an asset on the AE and pay dividends?

I'm not sure to understand: It's MMORPG, solo game, support different scale as 50 player on 50Mhz/8MB memory as millions of player on modern hardware.
The unique part of this MMORPG is the self hosting efforts, technologies creations, work perfectly on high latency connexion like i2p. It's 5MB of code created, then not so far of vlc, it's a large project. And a good base for other similar project. The datapack is totally independent, and can be easily interchanged.

How far is the development progress?
I'm preparing all to release the final version 1.0 for the next week.

Do you want to sell an asset on the AE and pay dividends?
Actually is sell as DGS, because the assert and pay dividends seam be legally(in bolivia)/logically complicated, because too I invest lot of time and real cash into this project out of nextcoin.

What We Need & What You Get

30K€ for a designer, 30K€ for a system administrator and 5K€ infrastructure cost, 10K€ for the music, 5K€ for a story writer. All of that's by years, on 3 years. Mean: 240K€.

This is for middle price range worker, not the best worker (50% is eaten due to the taxes and other company fee). Rounded by 239K€ because I will assume the work of sysadmin and some developers, then I count only me + 4 developers + 2 artist + 1 in marketing, but if you give more the contracted team will be larger.  The version 1 is under GPL3, and all commit of this version 2 will be too under GPL3. The version 1 have more than 5MB of code, 3 years of work.

The game don't have realtime part. That's give advantage on 3G/wifi connexion or into the tiers world. You can play Player vs Player, Team vs Team, your team can own city and clan hall. You have fight, farming, explore, crafting, trading, commerce, management, competition... and you are free to play in your style. The orientation of self hosting, bot allowed, will stimulate the content creation by the community. The version 1 is very good grade anonymity, performance and security quality, and work perfectly over i2p with more than 5s of latency.

If the goal is not reach, the remaining funds will go to tiled editor, linux foundations and all OSS security project like grsecurity, libreSSL, ...

The Impact
The funds raised will allow the creation of a high quality software. As Ultracopier, the research/new technologies is under public domain for everybody, the code is open sources, and the art work is free to be used into other game. The protocol conception, analysis is useful for other protocol conception (like http2).
Risks & Challenges
The main risk is to not respect the deadline of 3 years. I have already work and master this on professional part, but with complete developer team. The challenges is create new and better technologies to improve the bandwidth used, improve the client and be very more competitive than other MMORPG for cost. Offert to the world and used into other projects.

Usage of xz, untrusted mirror (to anybody can mount mirror to help with the bandwith), help on that's. But remain other technologies like tree/list of server/database to make. The estimation of the time is based on version 1 progression.

Other Ways You Can Help
Even if the funding is more important as this point, you can contribute by coding (mostly for the client part), talk about this open source project and their technologies.

Sounds indeed interesting. So you are not using any blockchain technology in your game, but want to sell it on the DGS?
How much do you want to charge for the game? Most MMORPG are free2play.

Can you please describe the self-hosting feature?

Exact, I don't wan't pollute any blockchain. Then my own blockhain can be envisaged.
But i don't have found what and how correct do it. Then I prefer don't do it for now. And progress where I'm skilled, but keep the door open to suggestion. I don't wish use to use, but use if have sens.
But yes, I'm selling on DGS.
The MMORPG like the single player version is free and free to play. The sold version is Ultimate version to have a better application (more stats, nicer, ...).
