I think in the instructions you follow, /etc directory is only for only for 0.7.x and earlier releases! You should follow instructions 4b not 4a.

I am not expert in SSL install with NRS (only have done it once) but in my install it sits in nxt directory. In my install this is /opt/nxt/keystore

Then in /opt/nxt/conf/nxt.properties I have:

nxt.uiSSL=true
nxt.apiSSL=true
nxt.keyStorePath=/opt/nxt/keystore
nxt.keyStorePassword=storepwd

I think this is same as instructions.

/opt/nxt is just my path to nxt, and may be different to yours.

Always in the right time with the right solution ! are you an angel ? ;D
https://nxt3d.net:7876/index.html

to use the let's encrypt certificates with NRS :
Code: [Select]
# sudo su
password
# cd /etc/letsencrypt/live/domain.com/
# ls
verify if the files are here (fullchain.pem and privkey.pem)
# openssl pkcs12 -export -inkey privkey.pem -in fullchain.pem -out mycert.pkcs12
# chmod 400 mycert.pkcs12
# keytool -importkeystore -srckeystore mycert.pkcs12 -srcstoretype PKCS12 -destkeystore keystore
# chmod 400 keystore
# cp keystore /to/my/nxt/folder
i removed the files
# rm mycert.pkcs12
# rm keystore
# exit

in my nxt.default.properties i have set:

nxt.uiSSL=true
nxt.apiSSL=true
nxt.keyStorePath=keystore
nxt.keyStorePassword=mypass

and worked fine  :D

Hello World  :D

just some infos about the competitors...
http://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2016/04/voxelus-marketplace-now-in-beta-with-free-3-d-content/
https://www.voxelus.com/marketplace

My problem is that the delivery is not automatic and there is no way for an external application to have a return of data to be used for post-purchase operations...
example;
- i can do that a click on a cube/script open a purchase modal or a send money modal but there is nothing that inform my cube/script that the purchase/deposit was done or no... my script have to send calls to the API for x time to know if the operation was done... and this is a bad scripting practice and resources usages including the security because each call have an unique ID as a kind of session that die after 1 min and the calls are limited to 25 per minute...

- if someone purchase an item in the wallet, i have to click the delivery button in the wallet or send a request with the seller passPhrase... both are a bad thing for the virtual worlds usages because the delivery is immediate after the purchase in the normal way... and that will expose the seller account if i use the the passPhrase in a request or even in a script !!!

my suggestion about the notification system that automatically send a notification to an URL each time when an event is happening in the monitored account will solve all this problems but after a discussion with testdruif, he explained to me that this may be a security risk for the nodes...

the question is how to do that an event in the wallet triggers its relative event into the virtual world?
eg; the click on the cube open the product modal (parameters or costom headers may be add here), the avatar use it's passPhrase in it's own wallet and click the purchase button (some data must be returned here using the parameters or the costom headers)... do that the avatar recive the item inworld and the purchase price go to the seller... end of the deal./

still working in my prototypes upgrades to the new stuff...
Thank you all and @++

Hello World  :D

i just done the terminal update to the new UI one-click modal feature... the land seller is ready too...

the actual version is less secure than the old one because that create a new wallet address for each avatar and give it it's wallet data as text file (notecard)...instead to give them a way to register them own NXT addresses, this is a bad practice because the owner of the item (in this case the terminal) can keep a copy of that text files (passPhrases)... now the terminal open directly the send NXT modal when the [Deposit] button is selected in the dialog box

the lands seller work in the same way, if an avatar is not linked to an NXT account it create a new one and give the data as notecard... the lands seller open directly the product modal when the [Buy] button is pressed in the dialog box... you can try the demo in the welcome zone but i disabled somethings or the vendor will sell you the region itself  :o

both do not allow transactions from the accounts that was not made by the system for the avatar! you have to load some NXTs to the avatar's NXT address and use it (as risk account) for all what is related with the NXT3D project ... if you want to change the NXT address you can do by pressing the [Change] button in the dialog box...

i need a volunteer willing to sacrifice 100NXT to test the terminal  ;D the project funds in NXT are empty  :o
Test:
- login, go to the terminal and click it, will display a dialog box click  [New]
- you will recive a notecard with some data as the avatar's NXT address, public key... passPhrase, click [Accept] to save it in your inventory
- send some NXT to your new avatar address (see the notecard) and wait a bit 2 or 3 confirmations...
- click the terminal again, you will see a new dialog box click the [Deposit] button, that will open the send money modal in the nxt3d public wallet (i know this is a bad practice too but all this is just an experience)... you have just to add an amount and send it using the notecard passPhrase

- When done click the terminal again and click [Get] button that will open a text box , copy/paste the deposit transaction ID (without spaces) and click [Submit]... (a notification system or post-operations return will avoid this step making the things automatic)

if all work fine; you will recive into the virtual world the same amount of real NXT as virtual ones  :D
for the land seller the test will cost you 3000NXT  ;D

- additional tests, try a double spend or fake transaction ID... grimlins acts...
i am inworld if you need help or infos  ;)

Thank you all and @++

[History] doesn't work either.

But the amount of work is tremendous. 10k NXT sent as donation. Thank you for all your efforts!

Hello World  :D

Why don't you use the testnet for testing ?

because every transaction, message or action registred in the project or merchand accounts in main network are the proof of work that i try to provide to both worlds...
if you take a look in the project transactions history... what you will see as data blocks and green/red values are for me as the project history bulit with acts of faith, with the community trust and are my glory wall  ;D

for example: can you deny or contest the fact that my modest person was the first to add and sold some opensim virtual goods in the marketplace ?  ;D can you deny or contest the fact that you are the first NXT Core Dev who join the metaverse on the nxt3d project?  ;D and for abctc ? can you deny or contest that he made the first public transaction from an item interconnected to the NRS API ?  ;D

Thank you for your help and donation  :D
i found where was the problem... a bad syntax in my sql/php part , thank you for your test, i am working in an optimization of the php part... i will inform you when done and you can use the same transaction ID because is still valid if you didn't change your avatar NXT account  :D

for info:
when an avatar click on the terminal, that start a private session dedicated to that avatar... if an other click when a session is active he/she get a sorry message...
if all was OK in the script part or after 60sec the session close and inform the avatar that happend and reset the variable (full purge)...
[14:24] NXT ATM Terminal: > Session Closed ! Please, click the terminal again to continue.

for the history button, this is not implemented yet but with the new php part this will be available too :D

Thank you all and @++

Hello World  :D

@abctc can you try again please?  ;D
with the same transaction ID if you didn't change the avatar's NXT account...

some infos about the viewers dev, Alchemy viewer has published a new beta version with some interesting features...:
https://alchemy.atlassian.net/wiki/display/ALCH/Alchemy+Beta+4.0.0.37561
Utilize upcoming currency-buy-uri OpenSim sim feature: this stuff is used in the "BUY NXT" button on the top menu bar in the viewers... the URI is the URL where the requests are sent from the purchase window
https://alchemy.atlassian.net/browse/ALCH-391

if you follow this project read between the lines here:
https://plus.google.com/+CinderRoxley
(used for Gloebits on Hypergrid)... CinderRoxley is one of the viewer devs... this Gloebits guys are doing the right things... mean contacting the viewers devs with some codes, dev requests and money...

this is a good thing for us because we can base our C# module on that and will be like if they have paid the dev for us  ;D , i hope the other viewers will follow in the same implementation...

Thank you all and @++

I've been thinking about opensim/hypergrid for a while, do you think that opensim servers could be distributed as a work unit via a BOINC project then tied together using hypergrid? It could potentially reduce server hosting costs & increase decentralization. Originally thought of the idea here: reddit.com/r/coindev/comments/299sya/idea_cryptosim/

Hello World  :D

I was extremely busy the past month but i was here reading you every day when i can...

Hi  :D
Welcome to the NXT community,
the BOINC project is a super computing farm and technology, i don't think that can serve for the opensim or the NXT softwares because both need more RAM than CPUs... (take a look in storj.io)

an hypergrid peer to peer and decentralized economy is what i try to do with the NXT3D project even alone with a limited resources and skills... i did my best to light the way to the NXT Devs but since 2015 until now I've never had questions related to the opensim code or questions about the opensim settings...

the work still in progress, i payed around a C# region module and we have a prototype  :D, need just some fixes in the NxtLib but we have the basics... very soon , the inworld transactions between the avatars into the NXT3D virtual world will be from/to the NRS and the blockchain in the main network  :D

 Thank you all and @++
