ARTICLE - issue September 2015We are BTCOR. We are less than enamored with what the Trustees of this world have done in Trust with our society and our planet as a whole. While we believe that the vast majority of people began careers with the best intentions in being of service and betterment to humanity, something seems to happen along the way.
Probably, the majority of people who decided to go into Law as Judges and Attorneys wanted to see that true Justice was served.
Probably, the majority of people who decided on social work wanted to help the hungry, the poor and the ill.
Probably, the majority of people who decided on Politics wanted to effect laws that actually protected people from predators.
Probably, the majority of people who decided on Medicine truly wanted to help people feel better.
Probably, similar for nearly all careers.
So, what happened? How can 10's of millions of young adults enter College or Training dedicated to making Society and the World in general a better place, and yet it seems that everything continues to degrade?
We watch as the system continues to implode. Retirement disappears. Stock Markets crash. Businesses go bankrupt. Millions extracted from their homes while thousands of square feet of shelter per homeless person lies dormant and deteriorating. Water is poisoned, air is polluted, and food is frankensteined.
When the enumerated codes, statutes, and ordinances end up being in the billions, the cost to adhere creates an environment where few can thrive, the amount of taxation buckles you, the public revenue appears to provide no benefit, instead appears a detriment, when the inequality is so incredibly skewed (1% own 50% of everything), and when the number of people who are ready for something different hits a precipice, then REAL CHANGE within the hearts and minds of the people begins. Maybe it’s time to wipe the slate clean and start new again?
