Kinda like that. Cryptamail had following unique(for beginning of May) functions:

Message encryption(now supported by the core also)
Alias-based identification, so an user could knows nothing about Nxt / blockchain.
Login with password instead of passphrase
Security: alias & passphrase are stored in encrypted-by-password form. No plain password storage also, only password hash. As a minus, credentials recovery isn't possible. No storage for messages also (as a minus, outbox isn't possible).

Oh. Then we need a form that converts the entered email address and a custom msg (someone wants to buy your alias!) to an AM, which is sent from Cryptamail to the alias owner. And... then back. And… But… Hm.

Great that you will make this open source. It needs to live.

The plan for now is to opensource it (after 1.4.0 probably)

The project has been abandoned and will be opensourced after 1.5 mainnet release with Prunable Messages usage instead of ordinary ones
