URL? WWW interface?
December 19, 2015, 09:44:04 pm

Integration of NXT marketplace into WWW websites - how to?

"... the true Cinderella of NXT ..." (quote from this great book)

Is there a web interface?

The closest things to what I mean are this -unsortable,unselectable- page: http://jnxt.org/market/
and a block explorer view on the transaction: https://nxtportal.org/transactions/15636307461238337902

What for?
I am wondering how to best include the NXT marketplace into my AssetGraphs product sales:
http://altsheets.ddns.net/assetgraphs/v2/products/#buying-is-easy

Workaround:
For now, I am simply using distinct addresses for each product (click link ^ above).
It is working well - but it won't allow for refunds, could be cooler, etc. In short:
I'd like to employ the NXT marketplace to sell my digital products.

What I would need for that is ... a URL.

A URL. Not more, not less.
A unique www address which I can link to.
Who wants to buy my products, can click it.

As far as I understand the situation right now,
the buyer has to first open his nxt wallet,
and then manually copy some code
from the www into his NXT wallet. Right?

Suboptimal. Don't you think so?

First option:
A www interface to the whole marketplace. With clickable URLs.
A sad, second-best solution, because centralized. Still ... useful.

Better idea:
A working URL structure to link into the localhost wallet. Example
http://localhost:7876/marketplace/product/15636307461238337902

Then everyone could start his own, decentralized wallet, but still
websites like mine could properly link to nxt marketplace products.

What do you think?
Which other options do exist to solve the same problem? Thanks.

Hi altsheets, this remembers me of a template I have built. It is a PHP Framework, where you just have to enter your NXT RS account (of the Item Seller) and the script will get all the details for you. So you setup the Marketplace Items within NXT. you need a domain, set the accountRS in the config and upload the files.

Then you can modify the html (with your images, texts) and have a finished webpage.

Have a look:

Had been watching this thread to see if there was an answer. The versatility of NXT never ceases to amaze me. Now I wish I had some products to sell :D
