Incorrect passphrase!
August 17, 2017, 07:51:41 am

I'm having trouble using the NXT client as I keep getting "incorrect passphrase". I'm already logged in on my tablet and are trying to send some ARDR, which I need my passphrase for. I have the passphrase written down, but something has gone wrong somewhere. My passphrase is 12 words, all lower case. Isn't that how they're supposed to be? I couldn't find any list of all the potential words to double check if I've written some of it wrong.

I feel like I'm fucked, and I feel fucking terrible.

Any help is much appreciated.

May be a space is changing the passphrase (before or after the passphrase)
Are you still using the same keyboard as when you created the wallet? I am telling you this because once the keyboard I was using had a letter that didn't write the right corresponding letter.

Where are you getting Incorrect passphrase?  Is this on myNXT or the downloaded nxt client?

Keyboard issues, like a different keyboard locale map, can cause typos and one single error (including spaces added or removed, as said above) will make a passphrase invalid.

If you wrote the passphrase down correctly when you created the account, try to type it down carefully in a simple text editor like Notepad, making sure there's no mistakes or accidental spaces compared to the original passphrase you wrote, and then copy it (Ctrl+C) from there and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the Nxt client when required.

If like this it still fails, maybe you made a mistake when writing it down.
