how to protect your wallet?
« on: May 22, 2014, 04:17:57 am »

I have a idea:

computer A(a nxt node of myself,I will call nodeA) connect internet sync the block from p2p
computer B(other nxt node of myself,I will call nodeB) in a local area network which the same as computer A.

nodeB set nxt.wellKnownPeers= computer A's IP

I think nodeB will sync nodeA's block, but no( if sync success, I can protect my wallet only use in computer B)

I try to set  nxt.usePeersDb=false,  but also no .

I want nodeB could sync nodeA‘s block? what can I do for this?

Before going through all this trouble, is there any reason to believe if computer B has clean install of operating system (no viruses, not many apps installed except Nxt) that that wallet be in any danger ?

If not, why even bother with all this trouble?

I am pretty sure Nxt server itself doesn't send your pass phrase or private key to any other node

I believe nxt node  doesn't send my pass phrase or private key to any other node.
but,if I use nxt for my website's user deposit,  if my computer A was attacked, hackers  can intercept my pass phrase .

but my computer in my local area network, many solution can protect my computer B.  computer B will more safe than computer A
