There are a few tutorials out there, including the one provided by Jelurida, but not one of them is what I consider to be "true" tutorials due to the lack of detail included. The information on customizing it to your project/coin is great but below are a list of things that are not included that should be addressed.
1. NBCK Requirements
A. What's the minimum version of Java needed to compile/run
B. Are there any additional Java requirements/plugins needed
C. Adjusting the total supply/minimum fee
2. Compiling
A. A step-by-step guide from preparing to running
B. Troubleshooting compile errors
3. Minimum Server Requirements
4. Suggested # of Managed Nodes
I could go on for days with more questions I have. A lot of this could be answered thru trial and error of course but the issue seems to be no one is sharing their findings with the community. This blockchain has so much potential but for some reason its being slept on. I for one have great plans for this once I can get a node running with my own clone.
Let's share.
Have you successfully compiled and run a clone?
Share your results.
What version of java did you use?
What OS are you running?
Did you run into issues, if so how did you resolve them?
