Oh, another one. :-[
Many items in JavaFX client have obsolet context menu "Open Link in New Window", but i guess it is imposible to remove it. :'(
Also "Download" button in Data Cloud seems do nothing ::)

I didn't notice this default context menu before. I think I'll just disable it since none of the actions in it make sense for a single page application.
The cloud data download actually should work. Take a look at the nxt.log, it should display the location of the downloaded file and you also should see a growl message in the desktop application itself showing up for a few seconds.

An offtopic idea: add a simple foolproof description to the changelog to explain features to non tech people. I got the idea, because I did not direct understand the funding monitor and the accounts property stuff. This could market the new features better to new users. Sometimes I don't know what kind of cool stuff Nxt really has.  :D

Oh, i have some confusion. :-[
Previously we had some "server" and "desktop" switches (in command line or config). 8)
Now exe installer puts on desktop two links: "server" and "wallet".  :)
Wallet launches default browser with "http://localhost:7876/index.html". :-\
Now Server runs exe with JavaFX client. :o
All this confuses me and i think somehow can be improved ::)

I'm contemplating about the the "wallet" link, on one hand it's now obsolete since we have the desktop wallet which itself has a web wallet link on the top right next to the logout icon.
On the other hand some users may not be able or may not like to use the desktop wallet so for them this link is a small time saver.
I'm 80% in favor of removing this wallet link.
I am mainly confused that server link opens desktop client ::)

There can be sence to copy external URL in marketplace (which now is possible via context menu).  ;)
Also if you click external link it opens that site. To go back to nxt wallet you need to use context menu "Back". Sadly you appear logged out of account :'(

I am on Win10 - no message, no downloaded file, nothing in logs ::)

I notice date format is changed for desktop wallet,I don't like it,but I can't change,hope this can fix at next release.

I think I found a way to fix it, next release.

I propose a new small feature. Can the amount of Asset holders of an asset be visible? When I click on View Asset Distribution can there be a sum of the accounts holding the assets?

that's a real pity.

Looks like a bug in the forum, only the token "transaction=" is replaced with "transaction-". Perhaps it's a security measure against something.

I just notice a strange thing in TRANSACTION table,this seems not relate to 1.8.0e,but I want post here.

There is a gap between DB_ID 813160 and 813185.

The db_id numbers are assigned from a sequence and never reused. It there was a block pop-off and a record from the transaction table was removed, there will be a gap in the db_id when the next transaction is inserted. Happens all the time.

If you download the blockchain from scratch, it is very likely no pop-offs have occurred and all db_id are sequential. Once it is up to date and starts resolving forks, this is when the gaps will start occurring.

Do not base any business logic on those db_ids! They are ephemeral, they will be different on each node, and each new blockchain download.

Thank you for this implementations :D they was really needed. i will test the 1.8.0e this WE and let you know
i have installed the 1.7.5 in the NXT3D server and i had some strange effects like the mono process who eat more ram when java/NRS is running and the java process eat 1.8Go of ram and ~15 to 20% CPU (8C/8T) under ubuntu server 14.04... is this normal?

It is normal only in case you download the blockchain from start or issue a blockchain rescan usually during upgrade.
On normal operation you rarely see the CPU about 10% and memory consumption should not exceed 500MB.
You can check your nxt.log to see if it explains what's going on.

Will it break retrocompatibility with existing things?
Developer and busineess already working on NXT wil not be happy, and that's normal.
Is 2.0 that urgent to risk alienating existing user? (seems like the scalability problem is not urgent, current tech handle the volume easily)

the problem was fixed for the CPU usage with a full machine reboot... now is running at 0 to 1% with pics time to time but not big deal.
the RAM usage is an other story because is relative to java and not to the NRS... the JVM allocate by default 3.7go to the java heap... i fixed this by adding a 1Go memory limit in the run.sh

now the java process is working at ~400Mo... normal rates without problems...
still the side effect with mono ?!? i don't know why mono jump in the ram usages when i run java/NRS (~+400Mo); may be some shared things...

i have a bug with firefox, this bug is not a new thing and not related to the 1.8.0e but start to happen after the implementation of the account switch feature... when i add the "?account=NXT-...", the left menu is not displayed

for the marketplace images, the image size is good for the listings but not for the purchase modal... the image here must be in the full modal width size (with a marging or padding 10px)... big format images...
in my opinion, the actual implementation with the images upload is a bad thing because the upload file size is limited on the NRS side and even if we setup a larger limit (1Mo for eg; ) this will take a lot of disk space with the time and the usages (in the archival nodes)...

i think if we use external sources for the images this will requiere less resources from the network because storing an image link as data will cost less than storing the image itself as file... you can add some filters and verifications like mime checks or filtred URLs for the security...
\add\ the API don't return an image link or the image as base64 (request : getDGSGood)... will be easy with external sources links

some suggestions for the next  ;)
1: a 10% forging tax that go to the NXT foundation for the dev funding
2: an internal advertising system where the wallet users can purchase slots in a rotative random advertising space displayed inside the wallet in all pages and modals..., this purchases earnings will go to the foundation...
3: divide the wallet in 2 parts, a basic part and the featured part... for example;

let's take a product from the DGS as example... in the product edition modal the seller will have the choice to use the basic product image ( a single image) or use the featured images option (slider with 3 or 4 images)... the first will cost to the seller the same as now but the featured slider and options will cost more (+10NXT for eg; ) and this additional fees will go the the foundation

an other example with the AE, in the asset creation modal, the issuer will have the choice between the basic display (actual one) or the featured style with a sexy look, asset logo and google interactive charts... that are displayed for all the asset holders as a kind of shared resources or a kind of "per asset dispay"... and this sexy look have a price too  ;D (+50 to 100NXT) and this go to the foundation too

with time and the accumulated fees of the foundation will have enough to pay the DEV and survive without the need to raise funds each year...

\add\ 4: the after purchase operations ... the server must return some data to the origin of the call... this can be done by adding some additional parameters in the modal URL that will be used to inform the URL/IP from where the purchase started that the purchase was done or return nothing if no...
for things like this an internal notification system is vital for the post-communications...
