I'm having an issue though... the client is not starting up for me. Well, it sort of does, but shows me no command prompt.
All it does is create a process in my Windows which uses all my disk capacity, 30~40% CPU, as well as 0.8GB+ RAM.

Do you have this icon (hidden) in your tray, after you started nxt.exe from the NXT-directory?
There's no more black command prompt windows, no need to use run.bat :)

Thank you for the release and all the information provided about it.

I've been away from the network for a while, so Im not up-to-date about recent changes to the client(s).

Could it be that I'm too far behind on the blockchain for the client to run properly? Or is this a known issue caused by something else?
I'm on a 64-bit Windows 8.1 system btw.
Any help would be apreciated!

What you are describing is normal for the database migration process which takes place when your blockchain database is upgraded to a new version.
Check the nxt.log file under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NXT\logs for more details.
Post it here if you need additional advice.
You can also open a ticket at the NXT helpdesk - http://nxt.org/support/

Thank you for your reply. I've manually downloaded the blockchain and Ill just give the client some time now to do what it needs. I might post a follow-up if my issues aren't resolved.

Thank you!

didn't look into my nxt-walleet (1.4.115) for a long time. Downloading the blockchain went very slow. Now I downloaded the 1.6.2, but now I get this message all the time; " DB_CLOSE_ON_EXIT=FALSE;MVCC=TRUE;CACHE_SIZE=60416" and then the DOS window closes. Anyone an idea  what to do?

try a fresh install
or
explain a bit better what platform you've used which nrs installation on and how you've installed it, by unzipping or using the exe version

I agree, note that if you are using the Windows installer and you have some custom database settings in your nxt.properties this might explain the error message.
If you like to post your nxt.log we can deduce all this information from there.

nxt nrs 1.6.2

Clicking on any address NXT-.... opens the

Quote
Account NXT-... Info
The account named ... has a balance of ... NXT.
Transactions Assets Trade History Currencies Marketplace Aliases Actions

But for no account that I am trying ... I get any assets shown. Always the same result:

Quote
This user has no assets.

EDIT:  Ctrl/Shift-reload fixed it. Now they are there.

Has this issue been resolved? I'm also showing no assets in my account after upgrading to 1.6.2. The transfers are shown, but the asset names are all "Undefined".
