The forging indicator is green if at least one account is forging. But on mouseover it should show how many accounts are forging, and whether the current account is forging or not.

uPNP, very cool.  is it possible for the client to periodically query via uPNP to find the public IP address, and then use that address for the client to advertise?
There is no need for the client to advertise an address, by default peers will try to connect back to the IP from which a request was received, and if successful treat that as the public address. Advertising an announced address helps if you have a hallmark which needs to be tied to a specific IP or hostname, and if you use a dynamic DNS and want to make sure peers always try to connect to your current IP, and save the hostname instead of the resolved IP in their peer database.

Um, ok, this just doesn't seem proper to me, and is not the behavior I was accustomed to seeing before this latest update.

Perhaps using a different color to indicate _this_account_isn't_forging_but_others_on_this_node_are_?

Perhaps a dark yellow "not forging"? Otherwise, it is clearly displaying a misleading status for the particular account.

Did this change between 1.5.12 and 1.5.13 ?
I can reproduce the problem with 1.5.13 but I don't understand why it worked before.

New client is looking great, only problem is its taking ages to sync the wallet and my balance is showing zero!
Is it having to download the blockchain from scratch?

I can reproduce the problem with 1.5.13 but I don't understand why it worked before.

I have the same/similar problem from beginning of 1.5.x series. Even if I changed Theme Settings->Boxes(color) to brown, in the next login there is a default blue. Other cookie settings persist well, Contacts table as well. I didn't any change into browser / cookie settings / system (Fedora 21, x86_64 Linux, latest FF). I'm on 1.5.12 now, I'll try 1.5.13 in a while, but I guess it will be still the same. We'll see.

It was probably broken when we moved from global client settings in 1.4 to per account client settings in 1.5
I created https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/issues/305/setting-custom-colors-not-saved-after to track this.

Ohhhh, that explains stuff.
Not a fan of this location... so I'll quote the part how to change it here for convenience:

Is there any way to keep using nxt_db from directory nxt installed in? because my c:\ capacity is very limited

That does work. However, it won't suffice to edit the nxt.dbDir parameter from the properties file, because the parser won't like the colon (":") behind the drive character somehow.

You'll need an explicit complete nxt.dbUrl parameter, for example:

Code: [Select]
nxt.dbUrl=jdbc:h2:file:R:/nxt_db/nxt;DB_CLOSE_ON_EXIT=FALSE;MVCC=TRUE
If you put this in the nxt.properties somewhere, your nxt_db will be R:\nxt_db\

Added compact.sh/compact.bat scripts to compact the database, resulting in
smaller size and possibly better performance. Those should only be run when
the Nxt server is not running.

I like to use compact.bat but my default folder is in disk D:/Nxt Wallet/so what can I do.
Can I make modification like in run.bat to delete key.
Code: [Select]
-Dnxt.runtime.mode=desktop

Yes, if you didn't specify -Dnxt.runtime.mode in run.bat, then remove it from compact.bat as well.

The forging indicator is green if at least one account is forging. But on mouseover it should show how many accounts are forging, and whether the current account is forging or not.
Mine is red even though the account is forging and GetState says "numberOfUnlockedAccounts": 1. Nothing on mouse-over. I'm using Firefox, and just updated Flash.

The list of account numbers, you previously used, is stored in a browser cookie, therefore if you cleared the browser cache the account list is deleted.
What you need to do, is login once using your passphrase (press the icon to the left of the account login field and enter it) then see the resulting account number inside the wallet and use it in subsequent logins.
Presumably you only need to use your passphrase if you can't remember your account number.
