One more question, can I mint more than one currency at the same time by opening more mint.bat instances?

Should be possible but tricky, since you'll need to provide separate nxt.properties to each mint.bat
You can control this by creating mint1.bat, mint2.bat ... and adjust the classpath of each mint.bat so that it finds a different nxt.properties.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Thank you!

mint.bat
Code: [Select]
@ECHO OFF
java.exe -cp classes;lib\*;conf nxt.mint.MintWorker

So should I copy classes, conf dir?  and edit the above line? But there is only 1 running Nxt instances.

Maybe we can run 2 Nxt instances with different ports in different directories.

Sorry I don't know about hallmarked node. I always open my wallet at the same manner.
Local host in Chronium.

The chain validates my transaction but not my wallet. I'm waiting

Thanks

Hi, why mint.run closes itself when I run it to start minting ?

This is my conf

This is what you need ?

#### MINT ####

# Address of the NXT server to which the mint worker submits its transactions (default: localhost)
nxt.mint.serverAddress=localhost

# Specify a mintable currency code
nxt.mint.currencyCode=EGOLD

# Secret phrase for the minting account, this secret phrase is sent to the host specified by
# nxt.mint.serverAddress therefore do not specify secret phrase of an account with lots of funds
nxt.mint.secretPhrase=my secret phrase

# Number of units to mint per transaction
# The minting difficulty grows linearly with the number of units per mint
nxt.mint.unitsPerMint=1

# The initial nonce used for minting
# Set to 0 to start with a random nonce
nxt.mint.initialNonce=0

# Number of concurrency threads used for minting
# Set to 0 allocate one thread per processor core
nxt.mint.threadPoolSize=0

# When set to false mint transactions are not submitted when a hash is solved.
# Set this value to true to perform actual minting
nxt.mint.isSubmitted=true

Thanks

Same with me  ??? whats wrong with our config file  ::)

Aha, maybe this is the point :

 http://89.250.243.200:7876/nxt?requestType=getCurrency&code=ELEMS

But I have https/SSL connection to my node. So, is there some possibility to change some "mint parameters" to forcing of SSL connection ?

This is definitively the point. Without SSL connection, everything works well. But it's not well for me, to leave my node without SSL encryption  :P So, suggestions, workarounds, config-updates ... ?

We'll add Https/SSL support for the MintWorker, hopefully for 1.4.8 or 1.4.9
See https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/issue/253/add-https-ssl-support-got-mint-worker

Thanks, lyaffe, it would be very helpful. I really don't want to run my public/hallmarked nodes without SSL ...

I came across an account that has a negative balance... Is that a bug or something?

The account has a balance of -999'996'290.12902927 NXT.

Hi,

I have a question to the dev's:
In the API, when fetching a transaction that contains attachments, are there always supposed to be a json property called "version.AttachmentType"?
If yes, I have found a bug.
If no, why not being consistent and always having it?

When querying my local node for tx: 5633777210894595962 I get this attachment as part of that tx:
Code: [Select]
"attachment":
{
  "quantityQNT":"2",
  "priceNQT":"5000000000",
  "asset":"14494654173570414067"
}
It's lacking a "version.BidOrderPlacement" property.

Query: http://localhost:7876/nxt?requestType=getTransaction&transaction=5633777210894595962

I also checked with some other nodes with public api access:
http://23.88.59.40:7876/nxt?requestType=getTransaction&transaction=5633777210894595962
http://23.89.192.151:7876/nxt?requestType=getTransaction&transaction=5633777210894595962
And I get same result from them, so it shouldn't be because of corrupt db or something.

I guess I could use the transaction.type & subtype to figure out that it's probably a "Bid order placement" transaction.

Installed the wallet yesterday I guess just before the update. I updated this morning and there is no MS. Windows install from nxtdotorg
Edit: Restart fixed it.

Happened twice now when minting EGOLD. This is my config:

I need some help with minting too.

I'm getting error "Could not find or load main class nxt.mint.MintWorker"

I have the mint config under conf, file name = nxt.properties.
I have tried it with the config under nxt-default.properties without luck.

The error occurs as I try to run mint.bat.

Thanks.

I am seeing a bug with the latest version related to forging.

2015-01-11 21:51:46 FINE: Account 2560453859745817410 generated block 14155980627369512292 at height 330698
2015-01-11 22:01:39 FINE: Will process a fork of 2 blocks
2015-01-11 22:01:39 FINE: Rollback from 330699 to 330698
2015-01-11 22:03:06 FINE: Switched to peer's fork

Now the last line made the above an annoyance, as between 22:01:39 and 22:03:06 not only was forging disabled, the DB seemed to be locked.

Most of the time when this happens, the "Switched to peer's fork" never seems to happen. Faster to restart.

I think this is a non-standard scenario, eg. a fork rollback that undoes a block that you forged. Now, in all these cases, I did actually forge the blocks and so it seems that the rollback makes the node forget that it forged the block and since the block is gone and the forging is probably not done against historical network state, maybe it cant figure out that it should have forged the block that it rolled back.

Maybe some special case code is needed to deal with going forward from a rollback to properly handle the case where it is a block that you created. In this case the rollback was 2 blocks and it fixed itself. The times where it seems to get stuck (1hr+ till I kickstart it) is when the rollback is 1 block. I can see how if a rollback unwinds to the exact block where you forged it, some confusions would be possible to get back in sync.

Hopefully this helps. I missed out on most of the big fees due to this bug and it could explain the sporadic "NXT is stuck" issues.

Thank you, I don't need it now however a lot of people could ask this.

Is it planned to have backup function in wallet?

There is already backup functionality for your contacts, in the contacts page "Export contacts" and "Import contacts" at the top right corner.

;D thank you and Assets + groups in Asset Exchange would be great too.

There was fix in 1.4.17 that fixed a critical bug in older versions. Someone is still trying to exploit the bug in the stragglers that haven't updated.

Update to 1.4.17 NOW, to support the network.
