Thanks! Updating my nodes asap.

Sweet, my nodes need this :)

Wrong download links when using the "update" feature inside the NRS:

Maybe due to your browser cache not being refreshed, the nrs.update.js file in 1.11.8 points correctly to https://bitbucket.org/Jelurida/nxt/downloads

I've checked that file you mentioned and:
For version 1.11.8 and 1.11.7, it points to https://bitbucket.org/Jelurida/nxt/downloads
However, not in version 1.11.6 (for what I can see)
Someone using v1.11.6 will still receive the "outdated!" message and when trying to download version 1.11.8 straight from the client it won't work, cause it links to the old repository

Since the moment the repository was changed, this was inevitably going to happen. The only thing we can do is ask users who want to update to latest from Nxt Client 1.11.6 and older versions to run the update manually, instead of using the update feature within the client.
-
Why doesn't JeanLuc mirror the binaries to his repository for the next version or two? It's easy and should help slackers get on the newer version with the updated links.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to verify the hash of the nxt-client-1.11.8.exe file that I downloaded.
I'm getting a result of (I wasnt sure which to use, as the original post has 512 and 256 mentioned.)
SHA-256

I'm right clicking/properties/file hashes. Is this the correct way to do it?

For the Windows installer nxt-client-1.11.8.exe you can verify the digital signature, right click, properties, digital signature. For me Windows only shows a "Checksums" tab but it doesn't list the sha256 hash. Using the sha256sum command line tool:
sha256sum nxt-client-1.11.8.exe
17879da08fb1908946c7e40ef0ca08e66d9a5901c7caa97fec8a00cbf77c2b49 *nxt-client-1.11.8.exe

The digital signature does say "Name of Signer: Stichting NXT" "Digest algorithm: sha1" "Timestamp Saturday, August 19, 2017 4:05:37 AM"
So I take it I am okay. Thanks for the quick response.

Right "Stichting NXT" is the name of the NXT foundation certificate.

Hi,
I have paid 250 NXT and installed full client on my Online Wallet. But online wallet is showing the Outdated version which is 1.11.7.
How do I update it to latest version.
While installing the full client plugin, the description said that the online version updates automatically. Isn't that right?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I was talking about wallet.mynxt.info. I thought this is the official online wallet for NXT. On their page it says you can install full NXT client Plugin and I have been charged 250 NXT for that.

The only thing official is the NRS client now maintained by Jelurida you can download and install on your machine.

Given their wording "Use the official NXT Full Client (a.k.a. NRS) drectly from your MyNXT Wallet." it seems to be a plugin to use their wallet with the NRS client, whatever that might imply. It does not mean that you're running the client, you're just connecting against their running instance. Probably similar to what you'd locally do with your browser when running the NRS client on your own machine.
