I was able to download the update for Linux from the 1.11.5 wallet. I installed it without a problem, it created shortcuts to start and stop the program in my launcher, but when I click start, a window opens for a second and then disappears. When I go to the local url, it has a darkblue page with a gray icon up in the left top corner that never does anything else.
I can however, start it in the console and it works fine, The local url page loads and lets me sign in etc.
I did not want to re-download the blockchain, so I replaced the 1.11.6 db folder with the one from 1.11.5 that contained the blockchain. I tried just replacing the nxt.h2.db file but It would never let me do it. I kept trying to move it while logged in as root, it just wouldn't work. So I opted to copy the whole nxt-db folder to 1.11.6 and it seemed to work fine. Please, if anyone has any experience with this and knows whether or not this is the right way to do it, please let me know. It seems to function as intended, but want to be sure to avoid any problems down the line. It does list the version as 1.11.6 at the top of the wallet.
I do not see an ignis token sale link at the top of the new desktop wallet. I only see that in the Android wallet. I was wondering if it was related to using the 1.11.5 nxt-db folder or perhaps its because I am in the U.S. and can't take part in the ICO?
Thanks to everyone who has replied to my posts. it's definitely appreciated.
