Change log:

IMPORTANT LICENSING CHANGE:

The Nxt software is now distributed under the Jelurida Public License (JPL)
version 1.0 for the Nxt Public Blockchain Platform. The full text of the JPL
is in the LICENSE.txt file (use JPL-NRS.pdf for a printable version).

The client UI remains under the MIT license.

This release is a mandatory upgrade. A hard fork will be scheduled at the
Ardor Genesis Snapshot block, expected to be set some time after the end of
the IGNIS token sale. At that time, nodes running 1.11.5 or older will be left
on a fork.

Added IGNIS Token Sale page. See https://www.jelurida.com/ico for latest token
sale terms and schedule.

Added support for the Changelly cryptocurrency exchange.

Added code to disable trading or transferring of assets that will be migrated
to Ardor after the Ardor Genesis Snapshot, and delete open ask/bid orders for
them at that time. Currently such assets and their ids are:

ARDR: 12422608354438203866
Bitswift: 12034575542068240440
Janus: 4348103880042995903
JanusXT: 14572747084550678873
ComJNSXT: 13363533560620557665

Added support for printing a "paper wallet" when creating a new account and
from the account details modal.

Added a custom installer panel that allows to: shutdown NXT server if it is
running; remove existing installation; customize conf/nxt.properties by
choosing from a fixed set of settings.

The pre-defined installer settings are taken from property files under
conf/examples. The installer makes sure no settings are in conflict.

Added password recovery tool for brute forcing partially forgotten or mistyped
passphrases. Use the passwordRecovery.sh or passwordRecovery.bat script to run,
after first setting the known password text fragments and guesses dictionary in
nxt.properties. See nxt-default.properties for configuration details.

Added ability to display a custom warning message on the login screen,
configurable as nxt.customLoginWarning.

Added active shufflings notification in the header bar.

Added image loading progress bar to the lock screen.

Performance optimizations when under higher transaction load.

Monetary System UI improvements and bugfixes.

API gzip filter is now automatically enabled for open API nodes, unless
explicitly disabled in nxt.enableAPIServerGZIPFilter.

Support running Nxt as a Windows service.

Updated mobile app to latest Cordova Android platform.

Added IntelliJ IDE project files to folder ./ide/intellij/project, developers
working on the source code should copy the content of folder
./ide/intellij/project to the root folder of the project and open the project
from inside IntelliJ using File-Open for the project root folder.
The IntelliJ project is pre-configured with the necessary dependencies to build
and run the Java source code.
To copy the IntelliJ files to the project root folder, open a command prompt
at the project root folder and issue the following command:
Windows: xcopy /e/k/s/h ide\intellij\project .
Linux: cp -r ide/intellij/project/. .

Updated H2 to version 1.4.196, bouncy castle to 1.57, and jetty to 9.3.20.
Delete the old lib folder first if unpacking on top.

Will trading of those listed assets on the NXT AE halt immediately or only after the fork?

A heads up about this would have been appreciated...

Only after the hard fork block which is set using the hardforkheight alias.

Downloaded Android wallet and got a parse error when I tried to open the downloaded file.

Question. I just installed the last version two days ago on my Linux laptaop. When I click the NRS update tab it displays a link for the Linux installer. Will this automatically install the update, or do I have to install it via command line Like I did with the last version?

Cool 8)

Is there any documentation how I can correctly upgrade an older version? If I uninstall the older version and install the newer version will it re-download the blockchain?

Thanks for the update!

v1.11.6 not yet recognizable in testnet? Our testnet server shows "latest client" with v1.11.5.

IGNIS Token Sale page has no way to enter a transaction fee or passphrase.

IGNIS Token Sale page has no way to enter a transaction fee or passphrase.

Once we publish the exchange offer, you'll be able to click the buy button, this will show the standard currency buy modal where you can enter transaction fee and passphrase as usual.
I will post a short video explaining this process soon.

Testnet nodes shouldn't prompt you to upgrade, it will just show you your existing version. Can you explain this a bit?

Hi,

thanks for the update - and here are my findings:

- Ignis Token sale page is not showing any real text but "dead" translation links like this:

     translation:ignis_message_1
     translation:ignis_message_2
     translation:ignis_message_3
     translation:ignis_message_4
     translation:latest_updates

The link to the Ignis Token Sale Page is only available on one of my 4 nodes. On the other nodes the link isn't visible at all.

The "Paper Wallet" print button on the account details modal is always disabled and greyed out, no matter how I login (account-id, password)

Best...

I was able to install the Android app this time, but the version at the top says 1.11.4 and has the red outdated button at the top.

I can see the IGNIS Token sale link at the top as well.

Also, I expected it to ask me for my passphrase to let me in, but all I entered was my NXT ID. Is this normal for the Android app?

The random remote node to which your mobile device has connected is running NXT 1.11.4
The login to the mobile app is similar to the login to the web wallet, you can login using account or using passphrase.

The paperwallet link is only available when you login using your passphrase and check the "Remember Me" checkbox, otherwise the passphrase in not available for the browser so it cannot generate the paperwallet.

Thanks - I didn't check the "remember me". Now it works fine :)

Does the JLRDA token have an ID yet? Will it be accessible during the ICO via the NXT AE API?

JLRDA is not an asset its a currency. Therefore its currency code uniqueness is enforced by the blockchain.

And of course this currency is accessible using the MS apis.

There is currently a JLRDA currency with the ID : 823491988455668070
Will it be the one used in the crowdsale? Or will it be re-issued before the ICO?

Only use the "IGNIS Token Sale" link at the top of the NXT Desktop window and you can't go wrong.

Suggestion for next version: Please change name of the main section in left menu from "Asset exchange" to just "Assets". Seems a lot of newcomers can't find where their assets resists.

You can enter anyone's NXT id and poke around in their account. It only asks you for the passphrase to do a transaction.

I was able to download the update for Linux from the 1.11.5 wallet. I installed it without a problem, it created shortcuts to start and stop the program in my launcher, but when I click start, a window opens for a second and then disappears. When I go to the local url, it has a darkblue page with a gray icon up in the left top corner that never does anything else.

I can however, start it in the console and it works fine, The local url page loads and lets me sign in etc.

I did not want to re-download the blockchain, so I replaced the 1.11.6 db folder with the one from 1.11.5 that contained the blockchain. I tried just replacing the nxt.h2.db file but It would never let me do it. I kept trying to move it while logged in as root, it just wouldn't work. So I opted to copy the whole nxt-db folder to 1.11.6 and it seemed to work fine. Please, if anyone has any experience with this and knows whether or not this is the right way to do it, please let me know. It seems to function as intended, but want to be sure to avoid any problems down the line. It does list the version as 1.11.6 at the top of the wallet.

I do not see an ignis token sale link at the top of the new desktop wallet. I only see that in the Android wallet. I was wondering if it was related to using the 1.11.5 nxt-db folder or perhaps its because I am in the U.S. and can't take part in the ICO?

Thanks to everyone who has replied to my posts. it's definitely appreciated.

Fixed it by removing /html/www/locals folder and then unzip the nxt-client zip again.
