good stuff.

app ec170f70 in iconic view preview doesn't work. it just loads the nxt background image and that's it. I'm on Nexus 6.

Thanks for the update.

But there seems to be a small bug : At several places I see messages like "translation:success_clipboard_copy" or "translation:generator_timing_accuracy_warning" instead of a real translation...

Best...

Will there be updated documentation for plugins? The 'hello world' and 'dividend_payout' plugins no longer work. The wiki is outdated.

Which version of Android do you run on the Nexus? (I usually test on Android 6.x)
Also do you any strict security policy on the device?
I'll give it a try with the emulator.

There is some intermittent issue with the new localization component version (i18next.js), still trying to track it down.

Regarding https://nxtwiki.org/wiki/Plugins can you check which of the steps in the process has failed?

Looking in my nohup output, there is nothing listed after searching for 'plugin', but here is a screen cap of my Plugins page. I have plugins enabled.
I haven't seen where there would be a file missing, and if so, what file requirement has been added since 1.10.x.

Thanks for the update. I just want to report that it's still not possible to install Nxt when I am not an administrator on my computer (Mac).

That I can't install software? That would be the safest system in the world.  ;D

I am both administrator and user. For safety reasons I work as a normal user, not administrator. But when I want to install Nxt on a user account (with administrator password for confirmation), I see error that the folder is not correct. I addressed this problem several times this year.

When you install the app using the installer. Choose your user folder as destination instead of the /Applications folder. Then run it from there using the finder.

Thanks for answer ans solution Riker. I prefer to have apps in the application folder, so every user can use the app. Now I switch to administrator, install Nxt and I can use it on every account. Happy new year!

FYI, when using the android APP (1.11.2), sometimes I receive the OUTDATED! red marked message at the top of the main screen when the app has connected to a remote node that isn't running the latest version of NRS, such as 1.10.3.
I know this message doesn't mean that there is a security problem, but maybe some users find it missleading...

The font-size in the block of the latest blockdate on the dasboard is too big. Some characters aren't visible.

Hi,

there's also a small UI design "problem": during mouse-over on the notification counter and the transactions counter the highlighted area is to high.

And it also mostly requires 2 clicks on the notification counter before the details pop up. (Tested on Windows with Chrome and Firefox)

I have some strange problem with NRS 1.11.2 on newest linux kernel (4.9.5.200-fc25), evnt. newest OpenJDK - after compiling and ./run.sh, it crashes within 20-30 sec with this error :

Code: [Select]

I'm not sure, if this is related to 4.9.X kernel, or to newest OpenJDK (1.8.0.111-5.b16). In any ase, in previous instance (kernels 4.8.14, 4.8.15, 4.8.16 && OpenJDK 1.8.0.111-4.b16) everything worked fine (without any crashes). With NRS 1.11.2 as well, of course.

I am on kernel 4.9.5 compiled from the kernel.org source, and openJDK 1.8.0_111-8u111-b14-2~bpo8+1-b14, works fine here.

I am on kernel 4.9.5 compiled from the kernel.org source, and openJDK 1.8.0_111-8u111-b14-2~bpo8+1-b14, works fine here.

I used Fedora's style `dnf downgrade' option, for downgrading from 1.8.0.111-5.b16 to 1.8.0.111-1.b16 version (of OpenJDK). Nothing happened, still crashes, even if I'm trying the clean install of NRS 1.11.2 (and without ./compile.sh before ./run.sh). I'll try switch back to 4.8.X kernels later...

Found the problem, this is the case (at least on Fedora, probably on Ubuntu as well) :

The missing plugin files error is a known bug in 1.11.2, it will be fixed in the next release. The error happens because we use a "HEAD" request to check for those files, but this request type was disabled server-side few versions ago. The fix is to modify html/www/js/nrs.plugins.js line 123 to use GET instead of HEAD:

Code: [Select]
    for (i=0; i<mandatoryFiles.length; i++) {
$.ajax({
    url: mandatoryFiles[i],
    type: 'GET',
                cache: false,
    success: function(data) {
    //nothing to do
    },
    error: function(data) {
                    NRS.logConsole(data.statusText + " error loading plugin file " + this.url);
    notFound = this.url;
    }
});
    }
