He is talking about Internet-of-Things, I prefer to call it Internet-of-Everything. Network of Jinn-powered devices creates entities that can't be called "things", but they do communicate with each other.

I didn't find news that would let me think that their device competes with Jinn.

It seems that IoT and IoE are basically the same idea but IoE emphasizes more on the network of everything in addition to the devices.

Interesting article:

This is how programs written for Jinn work - they simulate brain and can evolve over time.

So Jinn is one kind of neural network chips?

Kinda. A program for Jinn can be viewed as an artificial neural network.

https://gigaom.com/2015/01/22/researchers-show-a-machine-learning-network-for-connected-devices/

I noticed an interesting phenomenon. A network of Jinn processors has collective memory that can store information in a holographic manner. Dunno how to utilize this though...

Their article dated 1 day earlier though. Technically they were the first because I can't prove that I didn't know about their article. Anyway, an interesting coincidence.

Sounds like you should recruit them to work with Jinn.

Hey,

Some background about ternary computing

  • Setun, the first ternary computer, was much more efficient than equivalent binary computers
  • Qubits in ternaty computing is possible - they are called qutrits
  • There are two kind of ternary system: "regular" ternary (0, 1, 2) and balanced ternary (-1, 0, 1)
  • One shall consider the barrier to entry. IBM Cell is great but programming it places such a toll on developpers that ultimately, it did not enjoy much success (except PS3) - it would a shame the same happen with ternary computing, but history is full of it (see burst-EDO-RAM, for instance - or example of crap that is patched enough: Flash memory, Smart card payment)
  • 3 is the integer base with the lowest average radix economy (Wikipedia - enwp.org/Radix_economy)

There will come one final public update soon, then all future updates will come via blogposts on the website. We'll have a direct line to Jinn token holders too of course where we'll provide more info.
It's also important to understand that this isn't a short term project where weekly updates play a significant role. This is a long term project.

As for the SuperNET deal, it's not an acquisition, they needed some of our technology for their platform, so we provided it for them :)
