not received bitcoin
« on: January 12, 2015, 01:05:32 am »

I wanted to try out the multigateway so withdrew to a bitcoin address in transaction 5254992471851427627. 1 day later, still no bitcoin. Is there a delay?

I also tried out MGW for the first time this morning. I generated an mgwBTC address and sent 0.9998 BTC to it. Over 10 confirmations on the Bitcoin block chain and still nothing in my SuperNET client. Nothing in AE and MGW account still says 0.

I received two Nxt messages:

1. When setting up my mgwBTC address from: NXT-3TKA-UH62-478B-DQU6K

2. After sending (and Bitcoin block chain confirming) the 0.9998 BTC from my Electrum client from: NXT-B7PD-NURT-QPSJ-9EDJG

Both messages contain strings of text, which I assumed to be Tx ID's. Do I have to do anything with these messages to redeem my mgwBTC? I assumed the mgwBTC equivalent of however many BTC I sent would be automatically credited to my account?!

Have I just lost nearly a Bitcoin?

Ignore the messages.

You haven't lost anything.

Wait a few hours, and if you haven't heard anything, report it here: https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/multigateway-user-support-thread/ Sometimes the servers need to be restarted.

same here. just sent $2 worth of btc to my mgw address. nothing has been credited yet. been over 12+ hours. is this conversion done manually? this doesn't really help on trusting the system if we have to wait this long. what can we do to help speed up the process?

maybe a nxt message notification saying you received the btc and its waiting on confirmation. that would really increase the trust in the system.

i know it cost nxt to send the message, but i think its worth it to invest maybe the initial amount to send these message confirmations until more people hop onto the mgw system. a nxt message would be nice when someone sends BTC to their mgw btc address just so we know its being processed. or maybe even just put these messages in the mgw plugin page to show its been received.

working on fixing an edge case
if you post txid of deposit and/or deposit address, it will help to troubleshoot
