Well now, we have some points to cover today!

First, we are still alive! Rejoice!

Second, even though the project went through some véry rough patches, we managed to get consensus on how to proceed. Freebieservers has on-boarded a new dev "ultimation" (but we affectionately call him "ulti", d'aaaaawwww) who will be working on the project.

Third, we are sad to see chanc3r leave the project. Due to personal reasons, he decided he could not do what Lyth needed and he has given up his seat on our board and chose to forego his eventual share of assets. He may return in future, but we will need to do without him for now. I'd like to say a very heartfelt THANKS to chanc3r for managing the dev side of the project as well as shouting a lot at us for staying on track. I (Damelon) will take over his shouting duties from now on.

Fourth, we will be setting up more communication channels to tell you about number #5! Don't read ahead! It will spoil the surprise completely! Please don't. We trust you on this. This means finally getting the website updated and posting more and going on Twitter and all that comes with not shutting up about what you do. You know the kind of people who do it for a living. Did you manage not to read ahead? If so, well done! If you did, well, read it again!

Fifth, because we reached agreement on the dev payments, we are now about three months away from a working Alpha! This mean just by the end of the year, we have a first product to show! Are you excited yet? Because we are pooing our respective items of clothing! We are só happy we can finally show you where we are going, even though it's just a rough first glimpse. Thanks for sticking by us through the gruelling journey that is starting a game company!

Freebieservers will post below from his perspective, but I am going to the toilet now to whimper quietly with excitement.

just wondering if possible to somehow partner up with supernet.
i think you would get big boost on players right from the start to kick things off.
and these players are the right kind of players that would more likely to be interested in this genre of game with the hybrid of crypto+game and stay around to support the early stages.

Very nice to see the development going on with this!
Any thoughts on sharing your dev experience with the Voxelnauts project?
Maybe you can help eachother out in some way even though the games look very different.

    Hey guys,

    First off, apologies for our lack of correspondence and activity on the forum.
    We are a tiny team working on a series of high end moonshot projects and time is a resource we have very little of.
    I remember the first few days of speaking with Damelon in regards to the project. It was a strategic fit for us as it combined our demographic (gamers), skillsets (development, server managament) and future goals (positioning as a development studio) with the marketing brains of some of the smartest people in the community here. There have been a long list of challenges from both sides to push this project in the direction it is headed in. I can only be thankful to the kind folks at Lyth for the opportunity they have given us and as an enterprise, freebieservers intends to make the best of this.

    Moving further, I'd like to state what we intend to do in regards to development
    • We intend to directly link the developer trello with the official twitter, so you may catch up with progress in real time
    • Any artwork, previews etc would be posted via twitter as soon as they come in so asset holders know the state of the project
    • Weekly development review, submitted in the form of a report, made available from next saturday, so people following the business know what's going on
    • We might hold hangouts  / QnA sessions with the developers, artists and the core team in order to clear any queries / concerns you guys have in the months to come

We will strive to have a new site ready for display, developer blogs and press releases in the days to come.
The marketing aspect of the project is already being worked upon by Damelon.


This is one of the biggest projects we've been involved with and it gives us great pleasure to be involved in every aspect of the project (development to deployment, and assistance with marketing). It has been great working with Damelon and the team towards fulfillment of the project over the past few weeks and we hope to continue making  him (and many others) poop in their  pants with excitement.
