What is planned schedule for release? I think I missed it after the last phase of funding?
I would expect to have a testnet playable version within 4 months of the closure of the funding round (assuming we get enough funds) soon, we wont start if we dont we wont waste peoples money, after this it depends on the testing and the help we can get doing this.
- 4 Million NXT for phase 2 from alpha stage to production. That is a quarter mil euro at the current NXT rate. Looking at the 1st phase funding of 500 000 EUR (supposedly at least, easily doubled-quadrupled depending on NXT and BTC rate), what is the activity you plan to spend the 250 000 to polish an already functional product into release condition?
When we did some of our calculations NXT was at $0.035, now its around $0.07, it could change again, we are paying the DEV's in NXT so to some degree we and they take the risk on this, we will set the task bounties regularly and agree them with the devs.
There are 'no salaries' people are paid for delivering, not for existing. The directors cannot trade their awarded shares immediately to ensure we have to make the game work for those shares to be worth something when they can be traded.
Profits are paid equallty to all shareholders based on holding on the day thay are paid, up to 25% will be reinvested and 75% will be returned to investors – there are no 'hidden' dividends to directors.
- who / what party is the one issuing / selling the shares?
- how are profits defined and what costs will be deducted? Given that you plan to cover costs from the share sale proceeds, will the whole turnover be considered profit? If not, what proportion of it? Are wages or other costs a liability affecting investor profits?
I think Damlon already answere those... in addition...
Yes it is ambitous, we have spent 4 months on this in between various RL comittments and other NXT community commitments.
We have over 100 pages of Game concept documentation, various spreadsheets etc.
We know we needed to recruit to make the game possible.
We needed a client dev – we found an entire company
We needed a game server dev- we found someone who has worked on AAA games like Elderscrolls
We needed a dev to do the decentralisation – we found someone who has done an alpha clone of NXT in a weekend.
We needed artists – we found some great ones and you have seen examples.
Creating a game which blends the decentralisation of the blockchain with cutting edge game server interaction and the world class graphics of a client framework like unity is ambitous – but no more ambitious than NXT itself.
Is it high risk – yes its off the scale like most things around here but we are going to give it a damn good try. We wont spend a Quant more than necessary and at the moment expect to deliver within the budget of the first investment phase.
